George Corro is one of the main antagonists of the 1971 giallo film The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh. George is a widower of a woman, Carol, presumably murdered by a serial killer, as well as the mister of housewife Julie Wardh. It's revealed he had a more active role in Carol's murder and attempts on Julie's life as well.
He was portrayed by George Hilton, who also portrayed Peter Lynch in The Case of the Scorpion's Tail.
Biography[]
George Corro was married to a woman named Carol, a friend of Julie Wardh, who was the wife of ambassador Neil Wardh. With Julie hating her marriage, despite trying to escape from dangerous stalker ex Jean McDonald, George and Julie start an affair. Carol is later murdered and Julie nearly killed, each by attackers wielding razors. It appears to be the work of an on-the-loose "Razor Killer", but Julie fears it's McDonald and flees to Spain with George to save herself, as well as get out of the marriage with Neil. She stays there even after the murderer is killed by a would-be victim in self-defense.
Jean later suffocated and presumably murders Julie, then later meets with George. It's revealed he was hired to kill Julie and demands hos money for the attack, but George shoots him dead. Meeting with Neil, later, the two reveal Neil killed Carol and George assaulted Julie so they'd accordingly collect Julie's life insurance and Carol's estate, having alibis for their own wives' murders and framing the serial killer.
Julie is indeed alive and in protection of the police, as they saw Carol's murder didn't fit the serial killer. George and Neil flee in a high-speed chase with the police, before plummeting off a cliff to their deaths. Julie starts dating the doctor who treated her and provided her shelter.
