George "Double G" Glekas is a minor antagonist in the second season of HBO's The Wire. He is a fence for The Greeks, running their front business Pyramid Industries.
He is portrayed by Teddy Cañez.
Biography[]
Background[]
Sometime before the events of the series, Glekas had been charged with fencing stolen goods in San Diego but was dropped for lack of evidence.
Season 2[]
In a dispute over a stolen car smuggling deal with Ziggy Sobotka, Glekas beats up Ziggy and throws him out of the warehouse. Ziggy, tired of being used by everyone, finally snaps and shoots Glekas dead. The police indict Glekas in the smuggling investigation but when they arrive to arrest him at his office they discover that he has been killed.
