George Hawthorne is a major antagonist in the horror video game The impatient. He a police captain who arrived at the Blackwood Sanatorium shortly after the Wendigos broke out, after his officers accidentally shot a crowd of survivors after seeing a Wendigo, he ordered his men to silence any witnesses.
He is voiced by Elimu Nelson and modelled by Tom Weston.
Biography[]
Captain Hawthorne and his officers arrived at the Blackwood Sanatorium a few days after the Wendigos broke out of their cells and started killing the staff and the other patients. Upon arrival, his men are greeted by a group of survivor eager to leave, however, a Wendigo attacks the group and panicky officers start shooting at the monster, accidentally hitting the crowd. They are berated by Hawthorne who then puts an injured nurse out of her misery.
The officers, then notice the protagonist and his group and start shooting at them in an effort to silence them. Hawthorne and his team then track the witnesses to the Blackwood hotel where they can potentially kill all of them. If some survive, they are apprehended and taken into custody when they step out of the cable car.
Hawthorne only appears at the very end of the game if the protagonist survives and doesn't turn into a Wendigo.
After the survivors are apprehended, Hawthorne personally interrogates the protagonist and refuses to believe the things they saw, instead berating them for breaking into the Sanatorium. Hawthorne then sarcastically asks the protagonist who would be more likely to be believed beetween the both of them.
If the protagonist chooses to stay silent, Hawthorne lets them go home with a stern reminder that he'll be keeping a close eye on them. If they refuses to back down and chooses to report the events that went on at the Sanatorium, Hawthorne will knock out the protagonist with the handle of his gun. The protagonist will then wake up inside of a padded cell and the image of a Wendigo will briefly appear.

George Hawthorne is portrayed as a black man with brown eyes, short black hair and a thin Van Dyke beard. He is dressed in a light blue police shirt with shoulder pads indicating his rank as a captain, he also has a black tie, and black pants with a black belt.
Trivia[]
- Despite being a member of the Mounted Police, he is seen wearing an American (USA) police uniform and facial hair. He also as a Van Dyke beard despite Mounted police officers are not allowed to have facial hair other than a mustache. Additionally, Mounted police didn't have any black officers until 1969.
