George Karizaki is a scientist of Fenix responsible for developing the Vistamps and a major character in Kamen Rider Revice.
Although working with the protagonists to oppose Giff for most of the series, after he learns his father transferred his inner demon Chic to him, George Karizaki develops the Juuga Driver and uses it to become Kamen Rider Juuga in a bid to defeat all the other Vistamp-using Kamen Riders and mock his deceased father.
He is portrayed by Noritaka Hamao.
Biography[]
Past[]
George was born as the son of NOAH scientist Masumi Karizaki and an unnamed, presumably foreign, woman. While George was a child, Masumi used his research into Giff to extract his own inner demon and place it inside of George so a piece of him would always reside with his son, even if he died.
After Masumi was presumed dead following NOAH's dissolution, George would follow in his father's footsteps by becoming a scientist and going to work for Fenix, where he continued his father's work by improving upon the Proto Vistamps he had developed.
Battle against the Deadmans[]
George soon developed the Revice Driver as a tool which could utilize the Vistamps to transform its wearer into a Kamen Rider and summon their own inner demon to fight alongside them, in order to create something which could be used to combat the emergent Deadmans cult. The intended user of the Driver was to be Daiji Igarashi, but after the Fenix presentation was attacked by the Deadmans and Daiji got cold feet, his older brother Ikki used the Driver to transform instead in order to defend his family.
After Daiji became possessed by Kagero, George allowed him to take the TwoSiDriver so he could see what would happen when it went head-to-head with the Revice Driver. When Hiromi Kadota approached George for a Driver, he gave him the Demons Driver but did not tell him about the demon residing inside of it, which fed on Hiromi's life force whenever he transformed.
Eventually, George's gambit paid off and Daiji overcame his inner demon, allowing him to use the TwoSiDriver to transform into Kamen Rider Live.
The three Kamen Riders were soon joined by a fourth when an unknown sender sent Sakura Igarashi the Libera Driver, a prototype which George had designed but never completed. George, who believed the Driver to be lost, was perturbed by this new development and sought to find out who had completed and sent it.
Further Plotting[]
After the Deadmans cult was defeated in a raid by Fenix and Giff's casket was brought on to Fenix's Skybase, George oversaw Fenix's analysis of the casket. When Fenix Director Hideo Akaishi arrived on Skybase to check up on their progress, George met with him to discuss Fenix's intentions regarding the casket.
Akaishi would later approach George to ask him about the status of the Demons Driver. George informed him that it was doing well and that it should be restored to its former form soon enough. After Hiromi discovered that the demon within the Demons Driver was feeding on his life force, he went to confront George about it. George nonchalantly brushed Hiromi off and mocked him for his catchphrase of "laying down his life", saying he should have known.
After Orteca successfully stole the Demons Driver, he kidnapped Karizaki and brought him to his hideout to interrogate him on how to unlock the Driver's true power. When Olteca revealed he knew of the secret of the Demons Driver's power, Karizaki was surprised to hear he was aware of it and asked where he had heard it from, to which Olteca responded he had learned of it from someone Karizaki knew. Karizaki then expressed that his scientific curiousity had been piqued and agreed to help Olteca unlock its secrets. Olteca unchained Karizaki so he could contact Sakura and lure the Riders to his hideout for him to fight. Once the Riders arrived, Olteca transformed into Demons to fight Sakura as Jeanne while Vice sorted out his distrust of Karizaki. After Vice used the Rolling Vistamp to swap places with Ikki, Ikki joined the fight as Jack Revice. During the fight, Olteca attempted to use three Remixes but was blocked by the Driver. After being struck by Sakura's Rider Kick, Jack Revice performed his finisher on Olteca and defeated him. His transformation canceled, Olteca exited the scene with the Demons Driver, while Karizaki returned to the side of the Fenix Riders.
Allying with Weekend[]
George later discovered the existence of the underground Weekend organization opposing Fenix, and that his father was alive and the one who had founded it. Although holding a grudge against his father, after Hideo Akaishi was revealed to be a disciple of Giff, George reluctantly joined Fenix and agreed to work with his father in order to stop Giff.
However, George's resentment of his father only grew after he learned of what his father had done with his inner demon, leading him to refuse to see Masumi even as he was dying. Karizaki eventually changed his mind, but by the time he went to go meet with his father, Masumi had already passed.
Birth of Chimera[]
Following Giff's demise, driven by unresolved issues with his father, George developed the Chimera Driver with the intent to prove himself better than his father and destroy all the other Vistamp-using Drivers so humanity would not need to rely on the powers of demons to defend themselves. But while attempting to transform with the Chimera Driver, he accidentally freed Chic with the demon stealing the Driver and one of Giff's surviving eyes to find a worthy user for the former before using stolen Giff eye to upgrade the Driver.
Becoming Juuga[]
The Kamen Rider Chimera incident, Karizaki used the upgraded Chimera Driver as a basis for the Juuga Driver, proceeding to hunt the other Kamen Riders. His first targets were Hana Natsuki/Kamen Rider Aguilera and Go Tamaki/Kamen Rider Over Demons. With the power of the Juuga Driver, Karizaki easily overwhelmed the two and knocked them out of their transformations. The Igarashi siblings soon arrived in response and, with the exception of Ikki, transformed to fight Juuga. Vice soon joined the battle, hoping that if only he and not Ikki fought, then Ikki wouldn't lose his memories. However, with the power of Juuga Karizaki was able to overpower all three of him. Before he could execute a finisher on them however, his Driver malfunctioned, leading Karizaki to flee for the time being to fine tune the Juuga Driver some more. After fixing the Driver up, Karizaki was later confronted by the Igarashi siblings again. Daiji offered his own Driver and his siblings' Drivers to Karizaki in the hopes that he would be satisfied, but Karizaki demaded the siblings fight him so he could test Juuga's power against theirs.
Ikki attempted to fight George but was blocked by his two younger siblings. Kagero then surfaced within Daiji again and transformed into his Kamen Rider form along with Sakura to battle against Juuga, but both were defeated once more. Ikki then attempted to transform but was stopped by Vice and his two younger siblings, who brought him away from the scene. However, Ikki remained determined to fight George, and Daiji and Sakura would eventually relent after hearing some choice words from Hana. Ikki and Vice then went to confront Karizaki and assumed their Ultimate forms to do battle against him as Juuga. Despite Karizaki's determination to prove himself better than his father by defeating Ultimate Revice, Ultimate Revi and Vice were able to overpower and defeat him, knocking him out of his transformation. Hiromi then appeared and showed Karizaki how his father had kept his childhood drawings and used them as inspiration for his inventions, causing Karizaki to tear up and wish for a chance to spend more time with him.
