George "Georgie" Santorelli is a minor character in the HBO tv show The Sopranos.
He is portrayed by Frank Santorelli.
History[]
Past[]
Nothing is known for certain about Georgie's past other than at some point, he began working at the Bada Bing strip club as a bartender and either willingly joined the DiMeo crime family or was roped into it due to being affiliated as one of their workers. At some point, Georgie also began prostituting the strippers at the bar.
Season One[]
46 Long[]
Georgie is first seen at the bar working trying to work the phone and annoyingly repeats himself several times until Tony Soprano snatches it out of his hands and beats him with it.
The Legend of Tennessee Moltisanti[]
Georgie briefly appears twice in this episode, the first time to search for listening devices in the Bada Bing restrooms with Christopher Moltisanti, and later assists Chrissie in relocating the body of Emil Kolar.
Season Three[]
University[]
After not appearing throughout all of season two, Georgie appears again where he's harassed by Ralph Cifaretto who puts out a cigar on his shirt and repeatedly jabs him with a pool cue until Georgie snatches it out of his hands. Angered by this, Ralphie grabs a chain with a lock on it and swings it around until he hits Georgie in the eye, and Tony orders Ralph to take him to the emergency room.
Second Opinion[]
Tony finds a singing fish wall ornament Georgie put in his office that reminds him of the dream where he realized Big Pussy was a rat. Tony then angrily confronts Georgie about "unprofessionalism" and beats him for the second time with the fish toy.
Season Four[]
For All Debts Public and Private[]
After entering Bada Bing and catching Georgie wasting ice, he says that it was "mostly melted" and Tony accuses him on arguing with him. Georgie tries to defend himself but unintentionally makes himself sound sarcastic and Silvio tries to warn Georgie to be quiet, but he doesn't listen and Tony beats him with the ice bucket.
Season Five[]
Cold Cuts[]
In Georgie's second to last appearance, he once again angers Tony by butting in on a conversation he wasn't part of about terroristic threats and when Georgie claims that he doesn't even want to think about it, Tony suddenly beats him for the fourth and final time using a cash register until even one of his most loyal soldiers Paulie Gualtieri and his cousin Tony Blundetto have to pull him off of Georgie, and ask him to get some air outside.
Sometime later, Tony is visited at his late mother's house by Paulie who came from the hospital to inform Tony that Georgie suffered permanent hearing loss in one of his ears. Feeling remorseful for what he did, Tony attempts to make amends by giving Paulie a big wad of cash to ensure Georgie gets the best treatment, though Paulie informs him that Georgie is quitting his job and no longer wants to see Tony anymore.

Trivia[]
- Despite claiming to have quit and no longer wanting to see Tony anymore, Georgie can actually be seen in the Bada Bing one last time in the season six episode "Walk Like a Man". It's possible that either Tony or someone else convinced him to come back and work for them or this is just a continuity error.
- Georgie is one the very few members of the DiMeo crime family to never kill anyone, get killed by a rival gangster, end up being a rat, go to prison, or be part of a major scam or heist, and he was able to leave the mafia without repercussions if his last appearance was truly just an error in continuity.
