Geraldine Borden is the main antagonist of the splatterpunk horror book The Playground, created by Aron Beauregard.
She is a wealthy and elderly philanthropist who approaches a group of families with the promise of large money, but is revealed to be a perverted sadist who enjoys being on top of humanity and causing her and misery just because she can.
Personality[]
Geraldine throughout the book is characterized as being very sexually deviant. She has a big head to the point where she talks about having sex with herself, her sexually deviant personality drives her to commit controversial acts, not limited to committing sexual acts after doing horrendous crimes, such as pulling her mothers oxygen mask and orgasming on her. Or even abusing her Adopted Son Rock for her own gain and ego.
Geraldine was looking forwards to motherhood but for all the wrong reasons, she immediately explains that she wants to be a mother just to mess around with her kid because of her own self absorption but due to her infertility opted to adopt.
Due to her very vile actions, she adopted a boy named Rock Stanley to just abuse. She also has no morals as she aligned herself with a former Nazi named Adolpho Fuchs.

Biography[]
Geraldine has Rock go to various (real) playgrounds and invite families to her playground. He does this under the ruse of this being for charity. The kids will come over and test out new state of the art playground equipment. The parents will even be paid $3,000. He's done this multiple times before, with the guilt eating him up every time. He invites the aforementioned families. The Clarkes he invites on a whim after seeing Caroline abuse Donnie. Donnie reminds him of himself.
The families all go on the time and place specified. The children are let into the big shiny nice playground and begin to play. The parents are taken to a theater to watch and observe. Everything is hunky dory at first, until the parents are spring locked into their chairs. Lacey stupidly is distracted by a slap bracelet and gets killed by the chair locks. This obviously ruins the mood.
Geraldine goes full release the hounds mode and sets 2 Doberman Pinschers on the kids, in order to herd them into a big underground elevator thing. One of the dogs is killed. The other is ordered to be killed but it's not shown. The kids are now in the real playground and have to survive rooms of various playground themed torture devices. The parents watch it all and beg Rock to help.
At the last parts of the fight, Geraldine yells at Rock, saying she's his mother. Rock simply replies saying he's a motherfucker and then kills her. The child survivors are Tonya and Donnie. Rock lets them out as well. They meet up with Tom and molly. They just all leave together. Presumably to go get police and Medical help. Rock had sustained injuries during his fight with Geraldine and refuses to go with them, opting instead to spend his final moments playing on the playground, something he was never allowed to do as a child.

- In the book Son of The Slob written by the same author, there’s a nun named Geraldine who is also slightly perverted, strangely enough the character also died in the book.
