Gerard Scott is one of the overarching antagonist in the 2023 tactical first-person shooter game Ready or Not, serving as the main antagonist in the mission "A Lethal Obsession". He is a 77-year-old man who formerly worked as a analyst, resulting his mental health declining and began making various conspiracy theories surrounding the U.S. government, and came to despise law enforcement.
He is voiced by James Irwin and Tim Simmons in unspecified parts.
Biography[]
Past[]
Not much is known about Scott's life before the events of Ready or Not. He was born on September 1, 1947, he later joined the UISA for "a large portion of his life." He would discharged from the agency in 2005. There his mental health began to degrade and started making up theories around the government and began to hate the law enforcement, he also stole massive amounts of federal documents. Prior to this, he had met a person named Eve.
Pre-A Lethal Obsession[]
Years pasted, in 2019, he mailed Ricin to various police stations across Los Sueños, killing numerous officers. He also found two accomplices.
Then Scott and his accomplices would improve their tactics. They began a large castor-bean farm to grow Ricin, planning to mail more to specific members of the LSPD. Six years later in August, Scott became more unstable and impatient, not wanting to wait any longer. He decided to bring the LSPD to him. In a seemingly spontaneous action, first by lighting a car on fire outside the East Makade Police Station. When officers attempted to respond, he shot six officers; five died, before fleeing in an RV and returned to his cabin at Sullivan's Slope, setting his RV on fire, setting up booby-traps, and preparing to surprise attack D Platoon.
A Lethal Obsession[]
D Platoon arrives, though Gerard came prepared. They searched his house and Gerard and his two accomplices were all arrested, before they could cause more harm. D Platoon also found stolen federal documents.
Post-A Lethal Obsession[]
Following his arrest, they managed to get all of the evidence. It's unknown what happened to him after his arrest, though one of his accomplices would be in the holding cells for the remainder of the game, until the release of the Home Invasion DLC (regardless if you killed him or not).
