Your argument as to why I should spare you lacked substance. Now, so do you.
~ Geya Dihada

Geyadrone Dihada is a demonic Planeswalker and the main antagonist from the Dakkon Blackblade comics from Magic: the Gathering. She is a powerful mage with a large swath of knowledge and magical prowess. She's aligned with grixis colored mana(blue, black, and red) with her specialty is using mind control and corrupting magic.

Appearance[]

Though Geyadrone can modify her appearance at will, her main form is similar to a pale skinned woman. She has long black hair, eyes with white pupils, and long claws extending from her fingers. Instead of feet, long purple tentacles extend from her legs that have suckers on them similar to octopi or squid have.

History[]

Though not much is known about Dihada's past, her relationship with Dakkon Blackblade is well recorded. Dihada manipulated a blacksmith named Dakkon into forging a powerful weapon known as the Blackblade in exchange for turning him into a Planeswalker. While it was unclear how she was able to do this, it should be noted that this comic line was made early in Magic's history. It took Dakkon a decade to forge his blade, and once he finished, Geyadrone came to collect it. While she gave Dakkon the ability to Planeswalk, she also used the blade to steal his shadow and soul. Dakkon was confused why she would give him this power and treat him as an enemy.

She gave the Blackblade to another of her enslaved minions, the corrupted nature spirit of Khone Sol'Kanar, and made him conquer Corondor. He forged her Unholy Citadel on the corpses of her slain foes. Her citadel was mobile and crept across the land on legs made of bones.

In another of her schemes, she manipulated a boy who would come to be known as Carth to summon Dakkon and bind him to Carth. This was done to nullify his Planeswalking abilities and to make Dakkon her champion. Carth sent Dakkon to kill Geyadrone, so she summoned the elder dragons Chromium Rhuell and his mate Piru to duel him instead. Dakkon slew Piru with a blast so powerful, he split the ground around him and accidentally formed the Dueling Chasm of Golthonor. Geyadrone intended for Piru to die so she could absorb her life force and power. Dakkon attempted to strike her while she was distracted but she stalled him long enough for her to place her mark on him. These events were dubbed the Blackblade-Dihada war.

Not much is known about what happened to Geyadrone after her battle with Dakkon. While she did appear during the Planeswalkers' War, her role in it and its ultimate outcome were never revealed. She left Dominaria and hasn't been seen by anyone since. Legend has it, Sol'Kanar could be restored to his original state if Geyadrone is slain. For now, he still rules Corondor as its demon king.

Geyadrone Variation

Dominaria United[]

During the New Phyrexian invasion, it was revealed that Geyadrone Dihada still lives and was residing in the Lat-Nam academy. She managed to depose the head of the academy and took his place for a while. As a result of the mending, she lost a majority of her power and has significantly aged. She was monitoring her foe Jared Carthalion(who was Carth's descendent and was also present during the Planeswalkers' War) as he and a student named Ulf were trying to protect a book that told the history of Corondor against the Phyrexians. She knew that the two were successful and knew she and Jared would do battle again after he dealt with the Phyrexians.

Quotes[]

When setting a snare, success depends not on the quality of the trap, but the quality of the bait.
