Inquisitor Ghiza is a minor antagonist in the 2022 RPG-Action video game Elden Ring. He is a brutal inquisitor in service to Praetor Rykard and carries a torture device whose design is adopted from the mechanical Abductor Virgin automatons.
Appearance[]
Ghiza appears as an official wearing long flowing magisterial blue robes and his festering face is completely covered in blood-soaked bandages.
Biography[]
Ghiza served as an inquisitor and magisterial official under the leadership of Praetor Rykard, one of the demigod children of Lord Radagon and Queen Rennala. His tasks are known to be grim, as he was usually tasked with carrying out torture, surveillance, and even execution, as well as partaking in gruesome rituals.
During his time as a servant of Rykard, Ghiza's face had festered, leading him to bandage not only his face but nearly the entirety of his head. At some point, he became inspired by the Abductor Virgins, who were created for the purpose of capturing and transposing heretics and enemies of the Erdtree to be taken for interrogation.
With the source of his inspiration stemming from the automatons' iconic saw blade-like wheels, Ghiza crafted a torture device based on said heavy weapon, and would often use it to barbarically torture heretics by using the sharp blades of his wheel to flay their flesh, causing agonizing pain and blood loss. He may have also used his newly-crafted device for execution.
