The Ghost Couple are the main antagonists of the first story from Tales to Give You Goosebumps, "The House of No Return" as well as in the TV episode of the same name.
They are portrayed by Susannah Hoffman and Chris Britton.

In the book, little is said about the couple and their origins. It is only said that their house is haunted. They first appear when The Danger Club goes to the home in search of Chris Wakely (a young man the trio locked up for an hour on Halloween night). The Ghost Couple welcomes the three and explains that Chris has left the house promising them that three children will replace him. Afterwards, they say the trio will stay with them forever and the story ends.
TV Episode[]
Unlike the book, the episode places the couple in context and is narrated by the Danger Club; the Maison du No Retour was built by the husband for him and his wife to raise their child. Sadly, their first child died breaking the floor due to a construction error and their daughter unfortunately committed suicide. This deeply saddened the couple who gradually lost their minds and stayed in the house for several months. They were later found dead during a police visit who took away their bodies. Following the tragedy, children began to disappear around and some assume that the couple abducted them.
Later in the episode, Chris meets the Ghost Couple offscreen and makes a deal with them so he can leave. After his departure, he is looked for by the Danger Club in the house and they in turn meet the couple. The latter explain that they let Chris go because he assured them that three children would take his place. While refusing their plea to leave, the Ghost Couple approaches the trio saying that they will love them forever.
