The ghost dragons are supporting antagonist from Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death and minor antagonist from Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia, Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade, Playing with Fire campaign and Heroes Chronicles: The Fiery Moon. These monsters are ghosts created from the bones of dead dragons by necromancers. Ghost dragons, like bone dragons, were created by necromancers from the bones and remains of dead dragons to bolster their armies with more powerful monsters and undead.
History[]
Ghost dragons, like bone dragons, were created by necromancers from the corpses, bones and remains of dead dragons to bolster their armies with more powerful monsters and undead. When the immortal hero Tarnum fought in thr Underworld and after that he wanted to stop the necromancers, who wanted to destroy the World Tree on the orders of the mad ancestor Vorr, he had to face these terrifying monsters, which were sometimes even more effective than the bone dragons, but in the end he managed to defeat and destroy them. After that, they did not start their ascension and creation again for a very long time, probably the necromancers thought that the power of the skeleton dragon would be enough for their victories, but they were wrong. In the necromancer kingdom of Deyja, during the throne wars and new conquests, the necromancers started creating these monsters again and managed to create quite a few. Most of all known heroes of Enroth fought against them and even participated in the invasion of Erathia, but were also used by Lord Haart's necromancer cult in the marshes of Tatalia. They were very effective and powerful, but eventually they were destroyed. After the Reckoning, in the world of Axeoth, the necromancers did not create any more of these creatures and decided once and for all that the bone dragon would be their strongest creature next to the devils.
Powers and abilities[]
Strengths[]
Ghost dragons were stronger and more dangerous in some ways than bone dragons. Since they were almost ghosts, the bones they were made of were less likely to be damaged, and they were stronger and faster than plain bone dragons. They also unnerved their opponents with their presence, but they also had the great advantage of being able to age some of their enemies with their bite, which affected almost all of the enemy's attributes. Since they were also undead, they were exempt from certain spells that affected the living.
Weaknesses[]
Their weaknesses were almost entirely those that were of the bone dragons. They also could not breathe fire, were not resistant to magic and certain spells invented against the undead were particularly effective against them.
