History
Dr. Jekyll is a failed scientist who turned to crime because of all his flopped experiments. He took the disguise of the Ghost of Mr. Hyde and started to steal expensive jewels.
In the beginning of the episode Mr. Hyde steals a jewel necklace and hides under a blanket in the back of the Mystery Machine. After the gang sat in the car and drove for a while, Scooby discovers the Ghost of Mr. Hyde under the blanket. Frightened they all run out of the car and Mr. Hyde runs away into the marshes. The gang follows and end up next to a creepy mansion.
Inside they talk with Dr. Jekyll and he tells them that he maybe is Mr. Hyde, that he changes into him. He lets the gang search for clues and they split up. Shaggy and Scooby doesn't find anything but Fred, Daphne and Velma do. They find a newspaper clip of Jekyll's housekeeper Helga showing that she used to be a circus star. Shaggy and Scooby gets chased around the mansion by the Ghost of Hyde and ends up in the laundry room with Velma. There they find more clues that points to Helga being the Ghost of Mr. Hyde. The whole gang goes to Helga's room except for Shaggy who guards outside and finds suction cups. The Ghost of Mr. Hyde appears and kidnaps Shaggy and vanishes. Scooby finds Shaggy and they once again gets chased by Mr. Hyde.
Later the gang gets back together and decides to capture the Ghost of Mr. Hyde. Their plan is successful and they unmask Hyde and sees that Dr. Jekyll was behind this all along. They explain everything to the sheriff; like how Jekyll used suction cups to climb on walls and how he planted evidence to frame Helga for his crimes. Dr. Jekyll gets arrested and the mystery is solved.
