Ghroth, also known as the The Harbinger, is an massive, planet-sized Outer God.
Biography[]
Ghroth appears like a rust-colored moon with a single gigantic red eye that it can closes in order to avoid detection, being known to drift through the universe while singing its siren song The Music of the Spheres. This song is call to awaken all Great Old Ones and Outer Gods that are slumbering on a planet that is passed by Ghroth, with often leading to said planet's destruction.
At some point he destroyed Shaggai, home of the Shan and Baoht Z'uqqa-mogg.

- Ghroth was not a creation from H.P. Lovecraft, but is a later addition to the mythos by Ramsey Campbell.
- Ghroth makes an appearance in the mobile game Tower of Saviors as a sentient void created by Azathoth.
- In the role-playing video game Persona 3, Nyx Avatar’s Moon form bears a striking resemblance to Ghroth. In the manga Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, the Medium—a crystallized entity of hatred and malice—also closely resembles Ghroth.
- The evil living planet Hellstar Remina in the titular manga Hellstar Remina appears to be heavily inspired by Ghroth.
- Additionally, the arcade game Pump It Up Phoenix includes a boss song named after Ghroth.
