Giant Despair is one of the minor antagonists of the novel, The Pilgrim's Progress and the 2019 movie of the same name.
Biography[]
Christian Pilgrim and Hopeful are trying to go forward, but they went to the wrong way. It rained, so both of them hid under the cave. The next day, they noticed that the cave is not a cave at all, but a giant shoe. The giant took the shoe and noticed two people inside, so he brought them to his castle and placed them inside a cage. Pilgrim mentioned that there is no more hope, but Hopeful remembered his name and told him that there is still hope and a key appeared from nowhere and they used the key to escape. They finally escaped the castle and will continue the journey.
Appearance[]
The Giant looks like a typical fantasy giant. He is very big in size. He also got a bulky body and he also wears more primitive clothes.
Personality[]
When he sees people he likes imprisoning them. It is possible that he does that for collecting or he likes making people feel hopeless forever.
