The Giant Komodo Dragon
The Giant Komodo Dragon is the titular main antagonist of the 1999 horror film Komodo.
Biography[]
The group sets off and finds shelter in the hideout of Oates and Denby. Once there, Gris dies from his injuries. Victoria overhears a conversation between Oates and Bracken. Oates then explains to her that the animals are Komodo dragons whose natural food sources have been destroyed, so they are now hunting humans. Shortly after, a Komodo dragon bit Denby on the throat. He still manages to kill the Komodo dragon, but a little later he dies in Oates' arms. Later, he tells Victoria the whole truth: Oates was innocently suspected of murdering his wife. Since the police kept him as a suspect despite Oates' innocence, it was easy for Bracken to blackmail him: Bracken promised Oates to help him escape in exchange for killing Komodo dragons on the Emerald Isle.
Victoria and Oates go in search of Patrick and find him at an old sewage treatment plant. There they need to fight several Komodo dragons before they can get to Patrick. It turns out that Patrick blames himself for the death of his parents. But Victoria can convince him otherwise. They are then attacked by the Komodo dragon, after which Oates apparently sacrifices himself by igniting the leaking oil with a lit cigar. In anger, Victoria kills the Komodo dragon, which initially survived the oil fire. Oates also survived the fire. After Bracken gets to the island by helicopter, Oates takes the helicopter with him. He leaves Bracken and his men to save Patrick and Victoria from the Komodo dragon. All three manage to escape from the island, and Patrick recovered.
