The Gigapedes are demonic, giant worm-like beasts and enemies in Devil May Cry 3. It is encountered first as a boss within the Temen-ni-gru, and two others infest the Leviathan's intestines, but these are not boss encounters. In the Devil May Cry HD Collection, the player will achieve the award "Pest Control" if the player defeats Gigapede.
The Gigapedes themselves is giant tapeworm-like demons that entered the Earth through a rift in the time-space continuum. They possesses a strong exoskeleton that impedes enemy attacks, and can generate ball-lightning to deter foes and prey alike.
- The word "Gigapede" is a portmanteau word of "Giga" (Latin: "Giant") and either "Millipede" (Latin: "thousand feet") or "Centipede," (Latin: "hundred feet"). Together, the literal translation of the name is "giant feet".
