Gigatron is a remorseless Decepticon who would be a major antagonist of Transformers Classics.
History[]
Gigatron was the former Overlord of Cybertron, before becoming restless with the duty. He left the occupation to Straxus, and headed into the universe to satisfly his craving for power. Centuries later, in the 21st century, Gigatron crash-landed in Japan, where he adopted a robot form resembling a shogun and a Type 90 tank altmode. With most of Earth's Decepticons offplanet with Megatron, he was able to gather a small army of ten warriors, and he would infrequently clash with Metalhawk and his fellow Earthbound Autobots. to be added

- Gigatron is the Western incarnation of the Japanese Overlord.
- While Gigatron is Straxus's predecessor in the "Classicverse", in other versions of the Marvel Transformers universe, such as the UK comics, Generation 2, and Regeneration One, Straxus's predecessor is unnamed, or Trannis.
