~ Gilbert's catchphrase |
Gilbert is a minor antagonist in Robotboy, serving as a cameo character in "Foot Brawl" and the main antagonist of "Knockoffs".
He was voiced by Rupert Degas, who also voiced Gus Turner in the same series.
Biography[]
He makes his first and only proper appearance in "Knockoffs", where he works at Electronics Hut fixing Gus' game buddy, he asks him why Tommy is buying such advanced technology, prompting a increasingly frustrated Gus to eventually reveal that he has Robotboy but Tommy lies and says he doesn't have him. Gilbert puts a tracking device in the game buddy and then he goes over Tommy's house and discovers Robotboy is real and decides to build and sell clones of him.
His clones prove to be unstable, as they would soon start to attack everyone around them. When Robotboy, Tommy and Gus try to stop them from recharging, they fight Robotboy, but overwhelm him, causing him to superactivate, which leads to them doing so too before they fall apart. When Robotboy confronts him, Gilbert asks if he wants a free phone, before he throws it in his face before smugly running away and escaping using a jetpack, saying he'll be back and design another robot to sell to the world.
Trivia[]
- He along with Gus were one of Rupert Degas' favourite characters to voice.
