~ Gimûb to Talion
Gimûb the Slaver is a minor antagonist and boss fight in Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor. He is the first Uruk Captain encountered by Talion.
When Talion returns from the grave and interrogates his first Uruk he learns about Gimûb who once owned a slave that was rumored to have met and fought the Black Hand. The Uruk that Talion interrogates says he sold the slave rumored to have fought the Black Hand to Gimûb but that slave would eventually escape. After this Talion decides to go track down Gimûb to find out more and kill him. Gimûb is a slaver, as his name suggests, who watches over his slaves with the rest of his men. He and his men enjoy beating and terrorizing the slaves. He has complete control of a small slaving outpost.
Gimûb comes into conflict with Talion when he searches for a slave, named Hirgon, in Gimûb’s camp that can lead him to the Black Captains. Talion kills Gimûb’s archers and then confronts him personally with his foot soldiers. The player then kills Gimûb and frees Hirgon who was rumored to have died ten years ago. Talion is suprised that Hirgon is still alive and suprised to know that Hirgon was the slave who met the Black Hand and lived. Gimûb's death spreads quickly many Uruks in the game being to talk about Gimûb's defeat at the hands of the Gravewalker and how he freed Gimûb's slaves.
Gimûb is still talked about and mentioned even after his death most of the Uruks are suprised to here that Gimûb is dead. Aside from the suprise of Gimûb's death before his death and after his death their are plenty Uruks talk about the rumor of Gimûb's slave fighting the Black Hand and surviving. Although Hirgon reveals the truth to Talion that he did encounter the Black Hand and never fought.
