Biography[]
Girag was once a great and noble warrior, who would share the spoils of his victory with his people. While in battle one day he befriended the Tanuki Ponta, however Girag was soon betrayed by his vassals, who in reality had been corrupted by the Barian Deity Don Thousand. Girag parted ways with Ponta to spare him, however on his dying breaths, Girag was corrupted by Don Thousand and ressurected as one of the seven rulers of Barian World. Girag is the first of the Barian emperors to be sent to Earth, where soon after his arrival he corrupts Fender and his group of convicts into serving him as Fender later attacks Yuma but is defeated and freed from Girag's control. Girag later corrupts Devon Knox and Carlyle Chesterton but, like Fender both are defeated by Yuma. Girag then corrupts Art Stanley, who instead says they should target Yuma's close friend, Reginald "Shark" Kastle. Art forces Shark into a duel by kidnapping his younger sister, Rio Kastle, however Art is defeated by Shark. Girag, still determined to defeat Yuma, corrupts Lotus Hanazoe, however Rio duels her instead of Yuma and defeats her. Girag hides out in an old gym while watching TV, however out of nowhere he is surprised when someone approaches him from behind, Girag attempts to attack the intruder, however the intruder perfectly counters his moves, causing Girag to recognize the human as his fellow emperor Alito, who talks down to Girag for his failures, however the two go to a bar where Girag gives Alito advice on love after he falls in love with Yuma's friend Tori Meadows. After Yuma's friends get into a massive argument due to Ray's suggestions, Girag approaches Yuma with the idea of the Friendship Games to help his friends get over their anger towards one another, Yuma and Shark were to duel Tori and Cathy in the finals in which Yuma had agreed to throw the duel, however Girag corrupted Tori and Cathy, so that when Yuma threw the duel he would be defeated by the Barians. Girag's plan then hit a snag when Shark left the tournament out of boredom and Girag was forced to unwillingly duel in his place. Girag attempted to get Yuma to reconsider throwing the duel but was unsuccessful, until Tori and Cathy used "Barian's Force", causing Yuma to take the duel seriously and him and Girag were victorious, freeing the two from Barian Control. Days later, Girag and Alito were training in the forest when the two witnessed the arrival of their fellow emperor Mizar, who gifted the two Barian Sphere Cubes, as Mizar left to find Yuma. Girag later corrupted a large portion of Students against Yuma but all of them were defeated by Alito, who wished to duel Yuma in an honorable One on One. After Alito is defeated by Yuma, Girag goes back to his hideout only to find Alito injured, when asked who did this to him, Alito weakly mutters "Ray". Girag, completely enraged intends to take his revenge on Ray, however Mizar attempts to talk him out of it as he returns to Barian World with Alito. Girag duels both Ray and Yuma in a 2v1 but ultimately loses as Ray tells Yuma that he is a heroic Barian who is trying to stop the emperors, as an injured Girag returns to Barian World. Girag and Alito are put into stasis so their injuries will heal, during this Vector, another of the emperors, begins mocking the two, causing Mizar to attempt to attack Vector only to be stopped by Dumon. Vector later used some of Don Thousand's power to speed up the healing process for Girag and Alito, and the two eventually recovered. Girag tracks down one of the Mythyrian Numbers only to have his body trapped in the statue of himself in his former life, while Ponta took over Girag's body, Yuma duels Ponta and wins as Girag recalls events from his past, only for Don Thousand's power to overwhelm him and he consumes Ponta's spirt claiming the memories he recalled were lies as he returns to Barian World. Girag later appears alongside the other Emperors once Nash and Marin return to Barian World as all seven emperors depart for earth. Girag alongside the other emperors attack Yuma's friends with Girag taking on Kaze and Roku, defeating them both. Girag and Alito later meet with Vector who proceeds to order them around, and when they question him Vector calls on Don Thousand and takes control over the two. Girag, under Don Thousand's control traps Nash as Vector forces him to watch him defeat Dumon and Marin. Later Girag attacks Yuma's ship after Alito is freed from Don Thousand's control, Alito challenges Girag, although the duel ends in Girag's victor, Alito is able to free Girag from Don Thousand's control, all before Vector attacks and attempts to attack Yuma. Before he can however, Girag pushes Yuma out of the way and Vector destroys him instead, taking both Girag and Alito's powers for himself before returning to Barian World. During Yuma's duel against Nash, Nash uses Girag's power and spirit to summon Barian Hope, and after Yuma defeats Nash and then duels Astral to decide the fates of both Astral and Barian world, Girag along with the other seven emperors are ressurrected back as humans.
