~ Glitch's quote. |
Reina Crowne, better known as Glitch is a major deuteragonist in Rainbow High.
She is a member of Shadow High and primarily focuses on Fashion Design.
Glitch/Reina is voiced by Stephanie Southerland who also voices Natasha Zima in the show.
Appearance[]
Glitch has a medium build with pale grayish purple skin, blue and indigo eyes, and high arched black eyebrows. Her hair is midnight blue in color with midnight black streaks and is styled into a high ponytail with baby hairs around her forehead. She also wears silver and midnight blue eyeshadow, soft blush, and glossy dark purple lipstick.
For her new outfit she wears a medium bell sleeve midnight black mini dress with a long, split train. The front of the dress and the train tails are decorated with black holographic sequins. Underneath, she wears a purple long sleeve top with a glitch effect, and a pair of midnight black legging boots with the same design.
Her alternative outfit consist of a long sleeved top printed with a glitch pattern and a plain midnight black shirt on top of it. She's wearing a midnight black pencil skirt with accents of silver studs with a belt to hold it on and she wears a glitch patterned knee-high socks with midnight black spiky combat boots. Her accessories are chains and silver pins topped on her hair, layered chain necklace and rectangle shiny metal earrings labeled with "Shadow".
Personality[]
Glitch is a very confident person, being best seen during her hosting of Rainbow Vision. She likes to interact with people such as students who are listening to her speeches. This is revealed however to just be a persona, as her true personality is shown to be much more self conscious, quiet, and reserved. This is especially true when it comes to singing, as her first attempt at achieving stardom at Rainbow Vision ended in disaster for her when she ended up freezing on stage. For the semifinals she sings and seems to have found her happiness and confidence in her voice.
Though Glitch was able to find more confidence in herself and her voice following Rainbow Vision, she also became more mischievous and mean-spirited, harshly turning down Coco’s offer to represent her after her performance at Rainbow Vision on the grounds that she was a Rainbow High student. This showed that Glitch could sometimes take the rivalry between the two schools rather far, even compared to most Shadow High Students. This came to a head during her Project Rainbow run, where she was willing to resort to cheating against Rainbow High by stealing their materials to stay in the competition and stated that she was willing to do “whatever it took” to win. However, after being admonished for this by Maria and immediately disqualified, she realized that she took her new “bolder” voice way too far and apologizes to the others for her actions, showing that she’s willing to own up to her mistakes.

Trivia[]
- Before being given her official doll outfit, starting from "Rainbow Vision Finale: Part 2", Glitch wore an outfit that was only made up of recolored assets taken from other characters. She had:
- Black and White Girl's top and skirt.
- Ainsley Slater's combat boots.
- Nicole Steel's earrings.
- Jade Hunter's runway hairstyle.
- When her doll outfit was revealed, many fans were disappointed that she did not come with hairclips as she had on the show, and that she switched to a more basic hairstyle.
- All this indicates that Glitch was probably a last-minute addition to the animated series, as even non-doll characters (Reina was considered as such when she first appeared) have unique outfit pieces.
- Glitch is the only character from Shadow High New to have appeared in Season 3. But, it is highly possible that her in-show character inspired her doll (and not the other way around as it usually happens), as it would explain why she has a very black-and-white style similar to the Series 1 dolls, and why she switched outfits at the end of Season 3.
- She has only been called her official name (Reina) once in the series that being in "Rainbow Vision Finale: Part 3" by Ms. Wright when she called her on the stage.
- She sang the song, Find My Voice in the episode, "Drama in the Wings" and Found My Voice in "The Semi Finals Begin".
- She is from Louisville, Kentucky.
