The Gloinks are minor antagonists in the adult animated surreal black comedy web series The Amazing Digital Circus, serving as major antagonists in the PILOT episode, and minor characters in Episode 4: Fast Food Masquerade. They are the servants and children of their titular queen who bring her stuff to her underground domain, so she can feed on them and turn then into more Gloinks.
Personality[]
Gloinks are fascinating creatures with a simple, yet unique way of life. They travel around, searching for objects to steal away and bring back to the Gloink Queen. Once they have attained the desired item, the Gloink will attach or weld itself to it, dragging it back to the queen to feed her so she conquers the digital circus world by turning everything into Gloinks by eating stuff as much she can. Upon arriving at the queen's throne, the object will be consumed and digested, only to be spat out again as another Gloink. This cycle of consumption and creation is the basis for the Gloinks' culture, and it's one that has been fascinating people for centuries.
Biography[]
Episode 1: PILOT[]
The Gloinks were an odd bunch, a horde of mischievous and colourful little critters created by the ringleader Caine. They were created as part of an 'adventure' to help the newcomer Pomni feel welcomed and adjusted in the digital circus. To this end, they went on a mission to steal various objects, including Zooble, Kinger's pillow fort, and many other things.
This mission was going according to plan until they stumbled upon a hole in the floor. It revealed a Gloink nest, where the creatures would feed the stolen objects to their queen in order to create more Gloinks. The plan would have likely succeeded, had it not been for the sudden arrival of Kaufmo, crashing down and killing their queen. Without their mistress, all they do is retreat away so they don't get killed as well, cowardly leaving their queen to be murdered by Kaufmo instead of helping save her from him. It is unknown what happened next, but it is presumed they were “despawned” by Caine once the adventure ended.
Episode 4[]
The Gloinks appear again in episode 4, where they are seen torturing a customer at Spudy's while the Gloink Queen orders takeaway for all 300 of them, and tells an intoxicated Ragatha of Gloink reproduction.
Episode 5
The Gloinks can be seen in some background decor during Zooble and Gangle's conversation about their character gimmicks.
