The Gloombats are supporting antagonists in the 2022 Roblox game Doors. They were introduced in The Mines update.
Appearance[]
Gloombats have dark green bodies with six small legs, two big glowing yellow eyes, a mouth with two fangs on the edges and sharp teeth, wings and two antennae on their heads.
Biography[]
The Gloombats fly around in groups of five or more and the player must not have a light source on. This is because the Gloombats are attracted to light and if the player has a light source on they will swarm and attack them, chipping away at the player's health until they die or turn the light source off. After killing the player they will lay eggs on their corpse. Sometimes, Gloombats won't spawn but numerous of their eggs will and if the player steps on them, a Gloombat will hatch from the largest egg and attack the player.
Trivia[]
- Gloombats are a mix of a bat and a moth and are referred to as Batmoths.
- Despite this, they emit sounds of a fly and neither of a bat or moth.
- Gloombats were first revealed in a teaser for The Mines.
- Gloombats can appear in flooded rooms and dive underwater.
- Gloombats can attack in combination with Rush, Screech and Eyes.
