For the ruinous fault of Gluttony, so are these sad souls broken by the rain and the mud.
~ Virgil to Dante about damned souls being eaten by gluttons.

The Gluttons are a type of antagonistic species in Dante's Inferno. They are damned souls transformed into cannibalistic obese demons.

Overview[]

The gluttons are first seen devouring damned souls which reminds the witnessing Dante Alighieri one of his sins marked on his cross-shaped red tapestry: He impersonated his father, Alighiero by drinking between a pair of women since Dante, during his childhood, witnessed his father eating and dranking between a pair of naked women who, both have demonic faces in human appearance as the blood poured over Alighiero and two women. After Lucifer showed the vision, of both Alighiero's and Beatrice's death, to Dante, Dante begin to fight the gluttons.

Appearance[]

The gluttons are extrememly obese monsters with their hands as jaws, their ears as faces with their open sagging jaws, and their minds reduced to those of monkeys.

Each Glutton also has two other sagging faces to the left and right of their head.
