~ The Reveal of The Devil and God being the same person, and his most infamous line. |
God/The Devil is the main antagonist of the Rare American’s song series Brittle Bones Nicky, serving as the overarching antagonist (alongsideNicky’s Father) of Brittle Bones Nicky, and the main antagonist of Brittle Bones Nicky 2.
He is the ruler of the afterlife, who is portrayed as both being God and The Devil, who got tired of being good and created Hell, and becomes the enemy and eventual boss of Nicky.
Personality[]
God/The Devil’s original personality is ambiguous until he is met in the second song. When meeting Nicky, God shows to be harsh and uncaring, bluntly rejecting Nicky from Heaven due to the mistakes he made in his youth, and his more nefarious nature is revealed when it’s shown he inflicts pain onto everyone, including the ones on Heaven, all for the sins of the other people, as shown with Nicky’s Mother, who is completely innocent. Nicky points out rightfully that God was the one to put him in the terrible situation and he made the most of it, however, God simply glared as he sent him to Hell. When Nicky breaks out of Hell and meets The Devil, it is revealed that both God and The Devil are the same person, and God simply explains that he is both Good and Evil, saying he was tired of “Lilly-White Shit” however due to his treatemnet of people, even people who seemingly going to Heaven, makes him a much more eviler version than any moral ambiguity. It does show that he allowed Nicky to become a servant in exchange to getting into Heaven if he pleases him, however it is unknown if he’ll grant this motion.
Biography[]
Brittle Bones Nicky 2[]
When Nicky enters the afterlife and tries to goes into Heaven, God steps in, rejecting him, citing his actions starting from smashing a pie in Shifty’s face, and tells him that everyone will pay for his sins in God’s place, and Nicky sees that everyone, regardless of being in Heaven or Hell, is damned to demonic creatures on their pack biting into them, which includes Nicky’s completely innocent mother. Nicky is shown to be angered and horrified, before telling God it isn’t fair, and that he dealt his cards by putting Nicky in the horrible situation, and he simply tried to make the most of it. God doesn’t listen and simply has the Ghost (possibly Nicky’s Future spirit), shove Nicky into a Pit, before being confused by The Devil to transport him to Hell, where everyone is also damned to cages and being tortured by the demonic creatures.
When Nicky fights off the demonic creatures, he meets his old friend Ben, who tells Nicky to get out he needs to approach the devil and offer a proposal, to become their servant and commit any despicable crime they please in exchange to getting into Heaven. After Nicky fights back against the prison guards, he gets transported back and sees The Devil welcoming him, before he then turn around to reveal himself as God, and he explains that he is in fact both individuals, as God was sick of being nice all the time, and asked Nicky why is is in his sight. Nicky then pulls a move and offers up a proposition to be his Ghostly Servant, committing any atrocities on Earth on his orders. God/The Devil grants this order, turning Nicky into a Ghostly Spector and sending him to Earth.
Trivia[]
- God/The Devil can ultimately serve as the ultimate villain of the series, as Nicky heavily insinuates God/The Devil causing his suffering by putting him a terrible situation of his abusive father and the death of his mom, and it’s heavily implied it to be true.
