God (reffered as Gods in English version) is an unseen overwatching antagonist of Drakengard and Nier game series. They are mysterious powerfull entity that seems to be creator of world and all life in it but despite that happens to have genocidal intentions to mankind, which he tries to execute in multiple ways such as Red Eye Disease, Dragons, Watchers, Seeds of Destruction and The Flower. Despite never being seen themselves, God is the one responsible for all tragedies and conflicts happen in series.
