Leto Atreides II the Younger, also known as the God-Emperor, is the main deuteragonist of the Dune franchise. God-Emperor Leto II ruled the Atreides Imperium from the time of his father's death in 10219 until 13728, bringing humanity towards the Golden Path, which will save them from stagnation and extinction. Named after his paternal grandfather, Leto, he is the son of Paul Atreides and Chani Kynes, the nephew of Alia Atreides, the younger brother of Leto II the Elder, and the twin brother of Ghanima Atreides.
In the 2003 miniseries, he was portrayed by James McAvoy, who also played Kevin Wendell Crumb in Split and Glass, Bruce Robertson in Filth, Wesley Gibson in Wanted, and David Percival in Atomic Blonde.
