When those fleeting lives destined to die. Become arrogant and sing praises of their own narcissistic glory. Such will shake the very heavens and split the earth. And they shall come to know the wrath of the divine. The incarnation of destruction... You've shown yourself at last. For you it's been twenty thousand years. It's been a while... oh King of the Monsters.
~ Metphies describing Godzilla Earth's wrath.

Godzilla Earth, otherwise simply known as Godzilla, is the titular secondary antagonist of the GODZILLA anime trilogy. He is a giant plant-based monster who evolved to become the most powerful lifeform on the planet.

Appearance[]

The Anime iteration of the character resembles the MonsterVerse incarnation, with a bulky body, a thick and short neck, large arms, jagged triangular dorsal plates, and a crocodile-like head with a relatively long snout. His dorsal plates are somewhat larger than the MonsterVerse Godzilla's, and more closely resemble the traditional maple leaf-shaped plates of past Godzilla incarnations. He also has a more rounded head and thinner neck. He possesses rough bluish skin with a tree bark-like texture covering the entirety of his body, very robust musculature with muscles visible through his skin and pronounced abdominal and pectoral muscles on his chest, and slimmer and longer legs that possess four claws. His tail has a ridged underside and ends with a pointed spear-like tip.

While Godzilla looks more or less like a larger version of his identical progeny and clones Godzilla Filius after 20,000 years, he also possesses a pronounced hunch in his back and several spikes on the bottom of his chin that resemble a beard.

Personality[]

Godzilla Earth displayed extremely hostile behavior towards humanity and other kaiju besides himself, systematically wiping out both on sight and even hunting down the humans fleeing the Earth in 2048 aboard the Aratrum, arriving at the ship's launch pad and shooting down nearby Landing Ships as well as laying waste upon the United Earth's last refuge in Buenaventura, seemingly aware that the remnants of humanity's resistance were assembled there. Not only that, the kaiju also relentlessly opposes human refugees who returned 20000 years later. Yet at the same time, Godzilla Earth instinctively goes out of his way to defend his home planet from external threats such as Gorath asteroid, Ghidorah, and Mechagodzilla. Metphies suggests that Godzilla Earth is a "divine avenger" sent as punishment for mankind's arrogance, and as such will never allow humanity to escape his wrath.

Biography[]

Origin[]

Godzilla first appeared in 2030 when he started his reign of terror by killing a Kamoebas, whose carcass was found on the shores of Odo island. A scientist named Kyohei Yamane theorizes that a giant unidentified lifeform killed the Kamoebas and gives him the name "Gojira", otherwise known as "Godzilla". Godzilla begins destroying multiple ships and killing multiple other monsters. He eventually comes ashore in Los Angeles along with Anguirus, Baragon, and Varan, with the other three being killed by him. He then destroyed what was left of Los Angeles and destroys San Francisco.

A year later, Godzilla reappeared in the west coast of the United States and attacks the Colorado Springs, causing the military to make a large scale nuclear attack against him (consisting of 150 nuclear warheads), which failed to harm the monster, who goes back into sea in the Gulf of Mexico. Godzilla appeared in Europe in 2034 and destroyed multiple countries (including Paris), which led humanity to abandoning Europe. Godzilla would later fight a larval creature named Battra, who appeared to save up energy to destroy a 30 kilometer asteroid called Gorath. The two fought twice with Godzilla eventually gaining the upper hand and killing Battra, although sustaining some injuries.

Godzilla then appeared in Antarctica in 2042 and destroyed Gorath with a red spiral ray. Godzilla becomes more active and begins attacking the new United Earth more directly (possibly because he knows of the Exif and the Bilusaludo's true natures), even fighting Gigan, a cyborg kaiju found in Siberia who was maimed by the Bilusaludo using Nanometal. The Bilusaludo was also planning on building an anti-Godzilla weapon called Mechagodzilla to eliminate Godzilla, but the monster king found out and destroyed his robotic doppelgänger before it could be activated, leading to humanity deciding to leave Earth to Godzilla and the monsters.

Godzilla eventually attacks Rio de Janiro and seemingly kills Haruo Sakaki's parents, causing the young man to develop a huge hatred over the Avatar of Destruction. After Godzilla drives humanity away from Earth, he begins to face a new enemy named Mothra, who appeared to protect the remnants of humanity. The two would fight throughout 2048 until he defeats her, but spares her only egg. Godzilla begins terraforming the Earth to his liking and creates a new environment of bizarre plant life and new monsters risen from this, including a subspecies called Servum. A monster that resembles Godzilla named Fillius would also come to existence.

Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters[]

20,000 years later, humanity would return to Earth and Haruo leads a group of soldiers consisting of himself, his childhood friends Yuko Tani and Elliott Leland, his closest Exif ally Metphies professor Martin Lazzari, soldiers Adam Bindewald and Marco Ghione, and Bilusaludian soldiers Mulu-elu Galu-gu and Rilu-elu Belu-be to defeat Godzilla and take back the Earth. Leland sacrifices himself to confirm the existence of Godzilla's invisible asymmetric permeable shield, and where the shield is generated. They manage to defeat Fillius, causing Godzilla to rise up and attack the group with his new abilities: the Super Oscillatory Wave and the Plasma Cutter.

Godzilla: City at the Edge of Battle[]

After the battle, Godzilla went back to hibernation until he was awakened by the activation of Mechagodzilla City which he causes him to head straight for the city. Godzilla tried to attack the city with his atomic breath, but it was deflected by the Mecha's thermal energy buffer layer. He is soon lured a trap point by Haruo, Yuko, and Belu-be, who are in the Vultures. Despite the fortifications not being complete, Galu-gu sets off the trap anyway, which causes him to fall into the city. Godzilla Earth eventually makes his way to the capture point as the city's structures begin shooting railguns. Once he reached the capture point, his feet get frozen by liquid nanometal, which traps him and allows the humans to gain the upper hand.

The crew inside Mechagodzilla City, fired the EMP harpoons at Godzilla Earth's back and overloaded him with energy. However, Godzilla Earth realizes this is going to kill him, so he fused the energy with his own body temperature to turn it into pure heat which reached over 1,000 degrees Celsius. After Haruo killed Galu-gu and destroyed the control room as well as stopping the Nanometal from spreading across the Earth, Godzilla absorbed the heat from the area which gave him enough power to destroy Mechagodzilla City once and for all before letting a loud roar of victory. He eventually goes back to hibernation.

Godzilla: The Planet Eater[]

Godzilla soon woke up once more when Ghidorah was summoned by Metphies to destroy the Earth. The two fight, but Ghidorah restrains Godzilla and begins draining his energy. Godzilla remains helpless towards Ghidorah until Haruo kills Metphies, causing him to lose his connection to Ghidorah, causing the golden demise to become bound by this universe's physical laws. Godzilla then destroys two of Ghidorah's heads before finishing the last one with his atomic breath, before destroying the black holes in the sky. He goes back to hibernation until Haruo begins flying his Vulture straight at him, wanting Godzilla to rid humanity of the curses of the past to prevent Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla from coming back to destroy the Earth. Godzilla obliges and shoots the Vulture down, killing him and Yuko, thus ending humanity's resistance against him.

Powers and Abilities[]

Atomic Breath[]

Godzilla Earth's atomic breath is described to be highly accelerated, particle-charged, and is electronic. It is highly destructive; according to official records, this beam is capable of annihilating single cities and mountains, penetrating the Rocky Mountains, melting parts of Himalayan Range, and destroying continental plates. In the tie in novel, an event is also described where Godzilla uses a Red Spiral Ray to destroy a meteor heading towards Earth after charging energy for a few years.

The estimated range of the beam is approximately 30 kilometers (18.6411 miles). During the charging process of this attack, Godzilla also produces strong electromagnetic pulses and powerful shockwaves, making any efforts by mankind to hide or withstand meaningless. Anyone at close range will face severe radioactive exposure, and nearby areas will be severely polluted by radioactivity, forcing humanity to abandon the area. Land pollutants were later fixed by technologies provided by Bilusaludos.

This version takes on the form of a thin, focused beam, almost like the atomic breath attacks of the MonsterVerse Godzilla and the Shin Godzilla, but there are notable differences in terms of charging up said ability aesthetically. They include things such as the visible electric nature of the creature's overall body and fins rather than vivid luminescence and the generation of a force field out of in front of the face with a large build-up of energy simultaneously focused in front of the mouth before fired, terminating the need to open his mouth wide to discharge his atomic powers.

Durability and Regenerative Healing Factor[]

As with previous iterations of the character, Godzilla Earth's bodily tissues are extremely resistant to damage where in this case, being integrated with metallic muscle fibers that also support his massive weight in the absence of a skeleton. The multilayer foam structure of Godzilla's epidermis grants him superior heat resistance, protecting him from nuclear attack even in the absence of his Asymmetrically Permeable Shield. Asymmetrically Permeable Shield on the other hand, is a powerful electromagnetic charge through an "in-vivo amplifier" located inside his dorsal plates with his cells acting as powerful electromagnets that can be used to either electronics around him or forming electromagnetic force-field as extra defense.

When he got injured, Godzilla's multi-layered, physiosorbed skin enables him to regenerate new skins near instantly, even if the older skin is incinerated or becomes plasma due to several hundred, or even several thousand nuclear bombings, making Godzilla essentially immune to human weapons.

Super Oscillatory Wave[]

In GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters, the sheer power of Godzilla’s roar is immense. Likewise, he is able to release a powerful sound wave blast to destroy enemies.

Electromagnetic Pulse[]

Godzilla Earth is capable of releasing an electromagnetic pulse. He can discharge the energy after releasing his atomic breath. The electromagnetic pulse is an ability that the Servum had been endowed with when they evolved separately.

Plasma Cutter[]

In GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters, by concentrating powerful plasma from his fins, Godzilla can swing his tail and produce a massive plasma blade that extends for 600 meters and can reduce anything it touch to ashes, causing massive destruction.

Cell-Division and Terraforming[]

In GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters, using cell-division, Godzilla produced multiple forms of progeny, from the fauna-like organisms such as Filius and the Servum, to the very flora that build up the forest-dominated terrain.

Amphibiousness[]

Godzilla Earth was also a capable swimmer not unlike his previous iteration where he moved so fast underwater that he could outperform hi-tech submarines be it human-made or Exif and Bilusaludo's works.

Stealth[]

As his body could absorb radio waves, Godzilla Earth is impossible to detect via. radar and other targeting systems except when he is firing his atomic breath.

Energy Conversion[]

In GODZILLA: City on the Edge of Battle, the humans attempt a strategy to defeat Godzilla’s that was similar to the strategy used on Filius. However, when the EMP Harpoons send electromagnetic energy to overload Godzilla, he is able to convert the excess energy into heat, and uses it as a heat attack, which melted the surrounding area. It also allows him to return to a safe level of electromagnetic energy, which allowed him to use his atomic breath.

Trivia[]

  • At almost 1,000 feet tall, Godzilla Earth is by far the largest incarnation of Godzilla ever seen, and the second largest Kaiju in the series, second only to Planet Eater Ghidorah.
