The Golden Dragon Thieves are a group of one-shot antagonists from Jackie Chan Adventures, serving as the main antagonists in the episode "Pleasure Cruise".
Biography[]
Jackie gets contacted to safeguard an artifact called the golden dragon after two attempted thefts. While preparing to have the golden dragon loaded onto a freight to Hong Kong, a group of thieves arrive by helicopter to steal the artifact. Jackie intervenes and prevents them from stealing it while getting hooked himself. Seeing this, the leader of the group, Giles orders to have Jackie thrusted into a skyscraper, prompting Jackie to unhook himself before they do.
Following this incident, it was deemed too risky to transport the artifact in a fright and instead has it transported on a cruise ship, believing nobody would think to look there, giving Jackie some cruise ticket to keep it safe. After the artifact gets loaded up and everybody gets settled in the cruise, the thieves manage to stowaway and prepare to steal the golden dragon once more. After they find the vault, Giles orders the technician to hack into the vault. When that proves difficult, Giles orders the group to take over the ship, trying up the crew and ordering all passengers to the ballroom.
With Butch and Basil keeping watch on the passengers, not even Jackie is able to escape. The only one who isn't captured is Jade, who is told by Jackie to call for help. However, the moment Jade tries to, her call is intercepted by Giles who tricks her into telling him her location on the ship. With this, he orders Butch to find and deal with her before telling the technician to just blow up the vault in spite of the technicians protests that doing so would damage the hull of the ship.
After Butch catches Jade thanks to the Technician activating the air vents, he gets ready to throw her overboard. However, Jade threatens him with the horse talisman (a bluff as the horse talisman can only heal). At first, Butch doesn't buy it, but the explosion caused by Giles results in the ship rumbling and Butch loses his balance. He begins to believe Jade was being serious and runs off.
Meanwhile, the Technician points out that the hull is busted open now, so they get to making off with the golden dragon, not caring about all of the people on the ship that could drown because of them. They soon run into Jackie who escaped thanks to Jade. However, Jackie tells the thieves they can have the artifact as he is more concerned with saving everybody on board the ship. Giles refuses to believe him and orders Butch and Basil to deal with him as he makes off with the golden dragon. The Technician asks if they really plan to leave Butch and Basil behind, which Giles assures that they are before the two of them are knocked out by Uncle and Mama Tohru.
Meanwhile, Jackie finds himself struggling with Butch and Basil before Jade arrives with the horse talisman. Remembering their previous encounter, Butch tells Basil to bail, prompting the two of them to run away.
It is assumed the thieves were all apprehended in the end.
