Goldenface is the main antagonist of The Office film-within-a-film Threat Level Midnight.
He is portrayed by John Krasinski.
Biography[]
Goldenface was a man who worked at a gold factory. His boss only cared about money. The boss didn't give the employees lunch breaks so they had to eat the gold. As a result, he became a man with a golden face. He made plans to blow up all the All-Star Games so that all the trophies will explode all over the place and everything will be gold just like him. His plots at the NFL, MLB and NBA Allstar games were failed by famous spy Michael Scarn. As Scarn ran a 20k with Robin Williams, Goldenface blew up the WNBA Allstar game where Scarn's wife was. His next plan is to blow up the NHL All-Star Game at a stadium owned by President Jackson, and has hostages at the same stadium. Goldenface appeared at the NHL All-Star game tryouts and made Scarn lose to a skater. The bomb eventually turns out to be the puck, since Scarn searched the entire stadium. Goldenface later kills one of the hostages at the stadium, but not long before Scarn and his butler Samuel arrive. Goldenface plans to release the hostages and defuse the puck if Scarn forgives him for the death of Scarn's wife. Instead, Scarn said "Hey, Goldenface. Go puck yourself!" Scarn took a bullet to the brain, lungs, heart, back, and balls. However, Scarn survives and later finds out that the President is also involved in Goldenface's plot, wanting the insurance money after the stadium blows up. At the NHL game, Scarn takes out all his frustration on the puck, causing it to get shot out of the stadium into Goldenface's lap, blowing him up.

Goldenface has a golden face, a suit with a golden tie, a golden pocket square, and a golden gun. In the speed-skating scene, he wears a skin tight black suit and ice skates.

Goldenface only cares about business.
Trivia[]
- Goldenface's name is an obvious jab at the James Bond villain Auric Goldfinger.
- Jim Halpert did not like the character or his lines and only took the role to impress Pam.
- Goldenface's role was originally offered to David Wallace. However, Michael Scott (director and star) thought it wouldn't look good to people at Corporate and so it went to Jim. Wallace later expressed regret at turning down the role.
