Goran Pazar (Russian/Chechen: Горан Пазар) is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Monroe Fuches) in Season 1 of HBO's tragicomedy crime series Barry.

He was the head of the Chechen Mafia in Los Angeles and was the boss of NoHo Hank (his right-hand man and future successor) and Barry Berkman (a famous and notorious hitman).

He is portrayed by Glenn Fleshler, who also played Errol Childress in True Detective, Cordell Doemling in Hannibal, One of the Smileys in Manhunt, Timur in Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony, and Myron Gold in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Biography[]

Ryan Madison was ordered to be murdered by Barry Berkman of Los Angeles-based Chechen mob boss Goran as payback for Ryan's ongoing affair with his wife.

When Barry takes too long to kill Ryan, Goran has his hitmen kill Ryan instead. He captures Fuches and Barry, but releases both once Barry executes another hit as atonement. Goran is persuaded to fight the Bolivian crowd by Fuches. When things don't work out, Goran accuses Fuches and makes another attempt to have him assassinated. Due to his poor treatment of NoHo Hank, Hank tips Barry off to their location to save Fuches, Barry steps in and kills Goran and others of his crew.

In season 3, Goran appears to Barry in a dream sequence. Barry is standing on a beach with all of the people who he has killed, including Goran Pazar who stares at him.
