~ Gordon "G-Man" Thomas threatening to have Carmen killed unless he gets a lenient sentence. |
Gordon "G-Man" Thomas is the main antagonist of the Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode "Flipped". He is a gangster who murders rapper Fulla-T during an argument over Thomas' ex-girlfriend, Carmen.
He was portrayed by Bokeem Woodbine, who also portrayed Derek Keyes in Chicago P.D., Mike Milligan in Fargo, Herman Schultz/Shocker in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Harry in the 2012 remake of Total Recall.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Thomas is a small-time gangster who launders his ill-gotten money through a front business, a record company specializing in gangsta rap artists. He at one point shot and killed a police officer, and he and his lawyer managed to convince a jury that he committed the shooting in self-defense, increasing his street cred.
At one point, he dated a woman named Carmen, and regularly beat her until she finally left him for Fulla-T, one of the rappers signed to his label. Thomas, who was still obsessed with Carmen, confronted Fulla-T, who told him that a real man would not abuse women. Enraged at the insult to his manhood, Thomas shot Fulla-T dead.
"Flipped"[]
Detectives Mike Logan and Megan Wheeler of the NYPD's Major Squad investigate Fulla-T's murder, and question Bobby Boyd, a DJ on Thomas' label who witnessed the murder. Paranoid that Boyd will turn him in, Thomas pushes him off the roof of his apartment building to his death.
Thomas then goes to Carmen's apartment to kidnap her, but finds that she is gone, Logan and Wheeler having put her in protective custody. Upon seeing the detectives at the apartment, Thomas takes off running, but Logan corners him. He tries to shoot Logan, but Wheeler comes to her partner's rescue, saving his life and arresting Thomas.
While interrogating Thomas, Logan and Wheeler threaten to send him to prison for the rest of his life unless he confesses to killing Fulla T. Unmoved, Thomas threatens to have Carmen murdered unless he gets a deal - five years in prison for manslaughter. Under pressure from the District Attorney's office to make the deal and fearing for Carmen's life, Logan and Wheeler reluctantly agree to Thomas' terms.
Thomas' luck finally runs out, however, when Harry Williams, an undercover NYPD detective and Carmen's godfather, infiltrates the prisoner disguised as an inmate and stabs him to death in order to keep Carmen safe.
