Gordon (SpongeBob SquarePants)

Gordon is a minor character in SpongeBob SquarePants, debuting as the main antagonist of the episode "Dear Vikings”.

He is a respectable yet incredibly arrogant Viking who teaches his jingoistic ways to SpongeBob and Squidward.

In his first appearance he was voiced by Ian McShane, who also voiced Tai Lung and a disguised Chameleon in the Kung Fu Panda franchise, Judas Iscariot in Jesus of Nazareth, Dr. Brinkman in Agent Cody Banks, Captain Hook in Shrek the Third, Iofur Raknison in The Golden Compass, Blackbeard in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Leigh Emerson in American Horror Story: Asylum, Winston Scott in the John Wick film series, and Tobias Moore in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In his appearance in the episode "Captain Pipsqueak", he was voiced by Clancy Brown, who also voices Mr. Krabs, Alternate Reality Mr. Krabs, The Fisherman, and PlanKrab in the same series, and Dark Dragon in American Drake: Jake Long.

Biography[]

SpongeBob SquarePants[]

In "Dear Vikings", Mr. Krabs creates a "Viking promotion" by serving Regular, Large, and Viking Sized Drinks (in reality they are all the same) in a bid to not only save money, but to also fool the customers into paying more for the same cup. He also states that whoever orders the Viking Sized cup gets to try on a cardboard helmet (which he found in the basement). This gets SpongeBob interested in the Vikings. Squidward tells SpongeBob all about the Vikings, however, nothing that he tells him is actually true.

SpongeBob sends a letter to the Vikings, but it gets immediately thrown out for not having a valid address on it, meanwhile, a garbage man, who is actually a Viking, notices the letter and delivers it to the Chieftain.

The Chieftain sends all of his men, including Gordon, to teach SpongeBob about the Vikings. Gordon and the other Vikings proceed to cause a fire, kidnap SpongeBob and Squidward, and steal the cash register.

The Vikings bring SpongeBob and Squidward to their ship and Gordon introduces the crew, who are all named Olaf. When SpongeBob asks what they like to do for fun, one of the Vikings says that they like to sing songs, which isn't actually true and results in him getting catapulted off the ship. Gordon proceeds to make SpongeBob the head chef, and Squidward the bathroom attendant. Squidward complains about the Vikings' lifestyle, which results in the Vikings trying to catapult him off the ship. The Vikings discover that they've hit a rock and that their boat is leaking. SpongeBob manages to save everyone by using his porous appearance to plug up the boat and stop the leak.

In "Captain Pipsqueak", he can be seen auditioning to become a member of Every Villain Is Lemons.

The Patrick Star Show[]

In "Is There a Director in the House?", he appears on a TV screen in Squidina's workstation.

Video Games[]

In Sockengarten Saga SpongeBob has to give Gordon the correct socks before Squidward gets launched away by the catapult.

In SpongeBob's Game Frenzy he makes an appearance during the "Launch Squidward" minigame.
