The Gorger Worm is a type of antagonistic species in Dante's Inferno. They are huge worm-like beasts that burrow into the filthy landscape.

Overview

They feast on the souls that are trapped in the circle of Gluttony with them. They tear apart the corpses and bodies that cover the ground. If an unsuspecting victim approaches its burrow, it instantly rises up and tries to gobble it down. They get up off the ground as Dante leads them out of the dusty area, trying to break it. The button sequence glitch also resulted in certain death.

• They could be seen in the background after killing Cerberus, devouring enemies and granting the player souls as they did.
