Gorgon Serpents are a stronger version of the classic Gorgon from the God of War franchise. These specific types of Gorgons only appear in God of War III.

Biography[]

Kratos encounters a Gorgon Serpent after falling into the underworld. Kratos stabs it many times with the Blades of Exile before cutting its head off and using it to turn all nearby enemies to stone. Kratos can do this with any Gorgon Serpent he encounters.

Upon death, Gorgon Serpents can drop blue orbs.

Appearance[]

The Gorgon Serpents appear to be stronger than the original gorgons, as they not only are larger, but possesses more humanoid features as well.

Gorgon Serpents possess green bodies with silver and gold scales on the snake parts of their body. Depending on the version of the game, the scales either stop at the Gorgon Serpent's belly, or go all the way up to its chest.

Kratos only encounters female Gorgon Serpents, so it is unknown what a male Gorgon Serpent would look like.

They share a very close resemblance to Medusa.

Trivia[]

  • As with most topless characters in the God of War franchise, the Japanese version of the game covers up the Gorgon Serpent's nipples.
    • For the Gorgon Serpent specifically, the species' nipples are covered with scales that match its body.
