Goro is a supporting antagonist in Mortal Kombat 1. He serves General Shao as a part of the military police that's sworn to protect Outworld until General Shao plans to take Outworld's throne for himself. He now aids him to take the throne and take down the royal family.
He was voiced by Vic Chao, who also voiced Sektor and Triborg in Mortal Kombat X and Tseng in Final Fantasy VII Remake.
The New Era version of Goro features as a Kameo fighter in the gameplay, and a minor antagonist of the Story Mode. Goro serves as a member of General Shao's army.
