I am Goroth! The greatest beast tamer in ALL of Mordor!

~ Goroth Caragor Tamer
Goroth Caragor Tamer is a minor antagonist, enemy, and some-what mini boss of the 2014 video game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. He is a boastful beast tamer who actually fears the beasts he claims to be an expert at taming.
Goroth is a Orc Captain who claims to be the best at taming the beasts known as caragors, large feline beasts of Mordor. He is known to be respected. This respect comes from his torment of his lesser accomplices, such as Ratbag.
Talion comes into conflict with Goroth after he encounters one of Goroth's Orc underlings named Ratbag, who has been tied to a wooden beam. He offers Talion a deal that if he helps him become a Warchief, he will lead Talion to the Black Captains. Talion agrees and frees Ratbag, after searching through his mind for the information on Goroth. Ratbag tells Talion that in order to start his rise through the ranks they must eliminate Goroth.
As Ratbag leads Talion to Goroth he beings to tell the ranger that he and Goroth have had a rivalry with each other for as long as he can remember. Ratbag also tells Talion that he has heard rumors that Goroth fears the Caragors and the beasts that he has tamed although Ratbag doesn't know how true that is.
Talion finds Goroth boasting by a Caragor cage Of his greatness. While boasting Goroth also lies about not being afraid of his Caragors and that he will kill the next Uruk who makes that claim. Goroth also lies saying that he can communicate with his Caragors and understand them. Celebrimbor, Talion’s wraith possessor, tells Talion to use their newfound knowledge of Goroth to their advantage. He tells Talion that fear is a powerful tool. Goroth was fearful of Caragors, in which he was conveniently next to a cage. Talion frees the Caragor and sends Goroth screaming. The player can then kill Goroth. With his demise, Ratbag would rise to the rank of captain.
After Goroth's death Ratbag orders his guards to take the body back to his tent so he can turn it into a trophy. He then tells the guards to meet him at the crossroads because he is going to kill another old friend that he knows. Like the other Uruks found in the main missions word of Goroth's death spreads fast and the rest of the Uruks find it hard to believe that Ratbag killed Goroth. But when Brogg is killed even though they have a hard time believing the rumors of Ratbag killing Goroth they find it more believable that he could have killed Goroth rather than Brogg.
Personality[]
Goroth is a self-proclaimed expert Caragor Tamer. He demands respect but is truly a coward. He is abusive to appeal that he is powerful. He is also a fraud, for he fears the very beast he claims to have mastery over.
