Goshiki Doubler (ゴシキダブラー Goshiki Daburā, lit. Barbet Doubler) is a minor antagonist of Uchuu Keiji Gavan who appears in episode 25. She is a plant-like Doubler who disguised herself as a swimming coach named Coach Mizushima (水島コーチ Mizushima Kōchi) to manipulate many girls into joining the Makuu by brainwashing them with barbet perfume in order to produce many beasts in the Beast Empire.
She is voiced by Yoshino Ohtori, who also voiced Female Demon Go-Ne in Jumborg Ace and Miralca in Dengeki Sentai Changeman. Her human form was portrayed by Midori Takahashi.
Biography[]
The Barbet Doubler created a barbet perfume that filled with hallucunating-induced gas inside the bottle that will brainwash anyone who behaves differently, with the first victim happens to be a swimming club member named Yuka, who is seen hallucinating herself of jumping into a pool filled with roses. She later returns back to Makuu Castle where she reported the results, as part of Makuu's plans to brainwash many human women into joining them in order to produce many more beasts to increase the Beast Empire's strength.
After mass producing a hallucunating-induced gas-filled barbet perfumes, the Barbet Doubler, disguised herself as a swimming instructor named Coach Mizushima, manipulating not only the girls in the swimming club (including one of Gavan's allies Wakaba Fuji), but also chorus groups and ballet clubs as well, into receiving barbet perfumes in order to brainwash them into joining with Makuu. Seeing how Wakaba acted differently towards her brother and friends, Retsu became suspicious of what Makuu's planning and decide to infiltrate the swimming club where she confronted and later fought against the Doubler for her plans, even when she transformed into Gavan.
After reporting to Makuu that Gavan has discover their plans, Coach Mizushima and the Double Girl in human disguise are taking the girls into Makuu Battleship to take them to Makuu, but they refused and wanted to go home. Angered at their refusals, Mizushima decide to have those who deems unsuitable to be killed by the Crushers, but Retsu arrived in time and saved the girls from being killed. Retsu went to fought against the Doubler, even after transforming into Gavan. After they're dragged into Makuu Space, the Doubler has Gavan trapped inside the rose flower until he managed to break himself out with a Full Power. She then sprayed Gavan with a gas that made him hallucinate into fighting the masked swordsmaster until he used Silver Beam to freed himself from the hallucunation. After their swordfight, the Doubler commands the fighters into firing at Gavan, until he destroyed them all with Laser Z Beam. After the Doubler enlarged herself into giant, Gavan had to call upon Dol and attacked her with Dol Fire before finishing her off with Gavan Dynamic.
