The Gotham Sirens are a team of three supervillainesses/antiheroines, Catwoman, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy who appear in DC Comics and various DC Comics-based media. They often commit crimes together.

History[]

Catwoman, distracted by the loss of Bruce Wayne, was taken down in Gotham city by Boneblaster, a new super villain trying to make a name for himself by killing big name vigilantes. Due to her recent encounter with Hush, Selina was not herself in peak physical condition. She was saved by Poison Ivy, who then brought Selina back to her hideout, which was actually the apartment of the Riddler, whom was being drugged by Ivy. Harley Quinn is also living there with Ivy. When Boneblaster attacks again, having followed them to the general area, and then locating the house with plants. After the tree ladie defeated Blaster (leaving him to be beaten by the Riddler, whom he had also attempted to kill) Selina suggests they form a team.

After a consult with Zatanna to find out what was really wrong with Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn agreed as, "positive female reinforcement", but then asked a simple question to Ms. Kyle who is Batman? Ordinarily, Catwoman would have refused, but she was being forced to tell the truth by toxic plants wielded by Ivy. Using skills taught by Talia al Ghul, Selina was able to convince them stating that everyone who had ever taken the cowl and pretending that is was a league of Batmen. Quinn and Ivy were satisfied, and accepted heroffer of a team.

The trio are known for being part of batman's rouge gallery of villains. While the trio are still considered to be criminals, they engage into hero activity from time to time.

Gotham Girls[]

A short animated flash and comic series of the Gotham Sirens. This flash series does not have Batman. Instead of Batman Batgirl is the hero in the series. GothamGirls is another name for the team.

Gotham (TV series)[]

The fourth season of Gotham features its own take on the Sirens, and consists of a younger Selina Kyle, as well as Tabitha Galavan/The Tigress and Barbara Kean (who takes Harley Quinn's role). They are an independent criminal group who attempt to make their own way in the city of Gotham, and end up coming into conflict with Penguin.

Halfway through the season, the Sirens gain the allegiance of the League of Assassins' female members. After Selina is shot by Jeremiah Valeska and is told about it by Tabitha, Barbara leads the Sirens into assisting Bruce and Alfred in fighting Jeremiah, Ra's al Ghul, and the League of Assassins members that are on his side. This ends with Barbara forcing Bruce's hand to thrust the embalming knife into Ra's al Ghul as the bombs on the bridge go off.

After their masters' death, the male members of the League of Assassins talked it over and wanted to swear their allegiance to Barbara. When Tabitha returns and mentions that Penguin killed Butch Gilzean, Barbara states that men have become a problem for her and has the female League of Assassins members kill the male members and display their bodies outside their female only territory.

Harley Quinn (TV series)[]

The Gotham City Sirens, were featured in the season 4 finale of Harley Quinn. After quitting the Bat Family when she becomes insecure about her moral compass, Harley Quinn could not bring herself to kill the Joker for paralyzing Batgirl.

She later joins Poison Ivy on the Moon for Lex Luthor's birthday party, where Ivy plans to kill Luthor, but they learn that he captured a weakened Superman and obtained all his powers. Unable to defeat him and realizing her business partners are not interested in making a change, Ivy quits her job at the Legion of Doom and teams up with Harley to destroy their businesses.

With Batgirl's computer skills, they hack the Space Lex Earth Saver and blow-up various businesses in Gotham while Steppenwolf sends Luthor to Apokolips as punishment. Harley also saves Superman before the Moon cracks, finally accepting herself with her good and bad qualities. Three days later, with Superman regaining his powers and the Moon restored, Harley and Ivy form the Gotham City Sirens with Barbara and Catwoman. Having discovered that Nightwing's grave had been robbed, they decide to investigate the case.

The Gotham City Sirens were featured in the Teen Titans Go! episode "Jam".

Videogames[]

Never in all Arkham games have the Gotham Sirens worked together as a trio. However, in the Arkham Unhinged comic book series they have.

In Injustice 2, one of Catwoman's introduction sequences has Harley propose forming a team called the "Gotham City Sirens," consisting of Harley, Catwoman, Kate Kane and Barbara Gordon, but Catwoman turns it down.
