The truth is... he could only get hard for machines, and he wanted the ultimate machine to serve that twisted desire.
~ Yan telling Liang about the governor.

The unnamed Governor is the main antagonist of the Love, Death & Robots episode "Good Hunting".

He was voiced by JB Blanc, who also voiced Brian Irons in the Resident Evil II remake, Kano in Mortal Kombat 11, Bane in Batman: The Enemy Within, Kuben Blisk in Titanfall, the Tower of Sauron in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Enrico Maxwell in the Hellsing series.

Biography[]

When the British colonized Hong Kong in the early 20th century, they brought new industrial equipment that supplants magic, preventing the Huli jing Yan from transforming back into her fox form and making her a permanent human. Forced into a career of prostitution, one of her clients was the fat British governor of Hong Kong, who had a fetish for machinery and sought to create a living cyborg he could use to pleasure himself.

Choosing Yan as his subject, the governor manages to win her trust by pretending to be a gentleman to her. One night, the governor gives Yan a glass of wine that he drugged, causing her to fall unconscious. Upon waking up, she is naked and tied to a construction table. The governor sits back and smokes while listening to Yan's screams as his engineers dissect her alive and convert her entire body into that of an android.

With Yan as an android, the governor used her as his sex slave, forcing her to fulfill his perverted desires and abused her whenever she refused to accept them. After weeks of being tormented, Yan grew fed up with the governor's abuse over her and stood up to him when he beats her for not wanting to have intercourse in the sauna. Yan grabs the governor by the hand and throws him down. She then gets on top of him and grabs him by the mouth. He enjoys it at first but soon realizes her intention. He can only scream like she did before Yan rips the governor's jaw in half, killing him.
