Governor L. Phatt is a minor antagonist in the 1991 video game Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge.
He is the greedy governor of Phatt Island who imprisons protagonist Guybrush to win a bounty.
He was voiced by Roger L. Jackson, who provided the voices for Ghostface in the Scream movie franchise, Mojo Jojo in The Powerpuff Girls, Wizeman in NiGHTS, Nohman in Zone of the Enders, Harkin in Mass Effect and Green Goblin and the Lizard in Spider-Man: Friend or Foe.
Personality[]
Governor Phatt shows minimal sympathy to anyone's peril. He is lazy and most notably greedy. He seeks to harbour as much material as possible, including food and money.
Physical appearance[]
Phatt is morbidly obese, which renders him bedbound. He has red hair which is thinning and a light, black moustache.
Biography[]
Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge[]
After Guybrush arrives on Phatt island, he is immediately arrested on Governor Phatt's orders for piracy. Guybrush witnesses Phatt's existence, where he is bedbound and fed through large tubes besides his mattress. Phatt reveals that he has bankrupt, and has kept Guybrush on Phatt Island so Governor Phatt can sell him and collect the bounty set by LeChuck. With that, Guybrush is held in a cell. However, Guybrush is able to escape and returns to Phatt's bedroom. Whilst he is asleep, Phatt continues to eat from his feeding pipes whilst Guybrush loots his room.
