Grady Travis is an antagonist in Fury. He is a rude tank loader from Arkansas.

He was played by Jon Bernthal, who also played Al Capone in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Shane Walsh in AMC's The Walking Dead, The Punisher in Netflix's Daredevil and The Punisher, Trigon in Justice League vs. Teen Titans, Braxton in The Accountant, Cole D. Walker in Ghost Recon video games and Johnny Boy Soprano in The Many Saints of Newark.

Biography[]

As the Allies make their final push in the European theatre of World War II, the Fury M4A3E8 Sherman tank and it's all veteran crew, lead by Sergeant Don "Wardaddy" Collier as tank commander, Boyd "Bible" Swan as tank gunner, Grady as the tank loader, and Trini "Gordo" Garcia as the tank driver.

The Tank has lost their bow gunner "Red" Conley and Conley is then replaced by Private Norman Ellison. Upon Ellison's arrival, the crew, especially Grady, belittle and mistreat Norman. Later in the film, Norman and Wardaddy find an apartment with two women named Emma and Irma after capturing a town from Nazi Soldiers. Norman and Emma then become in love and then Grady and Gordo and Bible show up and Grady starts harassing Norman.

Grady harasses Emma by picking at her lips and he harasses Norman by grabbing him and making him drink bitter liquids. Later, the apartment gets shelled and Emma dies and Norman tries to dig her out and Grady brutally drags him and throws him and beats him before forcing him back on the tank. At the final battle scene, Grady is killed by a Panzerfaust.
