Biography[]
Backstory[]
Grady was born in Oregon in a hunter community in the middle of the woods. At one point, he procured a son, Blake, and in 1995 he became obsessed with finding a missing hiker. Grady ruled his house with an iron fist, with a harsh discipline lifestyle for his young son, forcing him to obey as commanded, for his own sake. This made the young boy really afraid of his dad. On one occasion, following breakfast, both father and son went into the valley to hunt their next meal. Grady took this opportunity to teach his son about the beauty and dangers of the forest, such as the deadly mushrooms by the rivers. However, he was deeply upset by the boy being lost in his own thoughts rather than listening to him, and lost his cool, only to remind him he did it because he cared, as that losing people in the forest was easy.
Suddenly, they spotted a deer, getting into position, only for the animal to escape his scope. Thinking it was all for nothing, he turned around and called Blake, only to realize he was gone. He found him some distance away and angrily berated him, but calmed upon hearing somebody stalking them. Not seeing it with his rifle, he ordered his son to climb onto a hunting outpost, cover his ears and lay low, as he aimed his gun at the door. Hot breath came from the other side, but the creature preferred going after a deer instead. For a millisecond, Grady spotted the creature, but missed the shot, opting to tell his son it was just a bear, and that they better got home whilst there was sunlight.
Back at the cabin, Grady contacted his friend Dan and told him about his casual discovery, yet Dan considered it a waste of time. Grady tried to win his favor by presenting the situation as of protecting their boys (Blake and Derek). Suddenly, he heard footsteps behind him, it was Blake, having overheard everything.
Over the next thirty years, Grady became obsessed with finding the creature, leading to Blake running away to San Francisco when he turned 18. At some point, Grady re-encountered the hiker and became infected himself, turning his old farm house into his territory. Local authorities merely assumed he got lost and declared him dead in 2025, making Blake his heir. Whether he killed the hiker remains unknown.
Wolf Man[]
One night, Grady stepped onto the middle of the road, causing a truck to steer away and topple. Unbeknownst to him, the passengers included his son Blake, his daughter-in-law Charlotte, and granddaughter Ginger, as well as Derek, the son of his late friend Dan. Werewolf Grady approached the crashed vehicle and smashed a window, cutting Blake's forearm and infecting him, before slashing Derek's stomach and dragging him away to be dismembered offscreen. Following that, he returned and chased the trio to his old house, but he was locked outside. As the night progressed, he patrolled the local area and even held a grip over Blake's foot via the doggy door, though Charlotte smashed his arm with a hammer until he let go.
His next appearance was when he then attacked the family at the barn, sneaking behind the car as they tried to make the battery work, before climbing over the hood and lunging at them through the front window, breaking the gear selector at the cost getting stuck. Soon he broke free and chased them into the green house, stalking them from below and even slashing the plastic, almost killing his granddaughter, before Blake jumped off and sacrificed himself. However, by this point, the curse had significantly progressed, so he offered resistance and even bit one of Grady's fingers off. Later, Grady strategically positioned himself at the front door and tackled Blake the moment he opened it.
The duo fought with the father gaining the upper hand, throwing Blake over a table and smacking him. He howled and pinned his son down, only to be stabbed by his daughter-in-law with a knife in the back. Thus, Grady repurposed his efforts into going after the women, but Blake stood in his way. The wolfmen fought, but the elderly lycanthrope once more got the better of him, smashing Blake into a wall, biting his arm and sending him flying into a shelf before smacking him and leaving him unconscious. Grady proceed to drag his prey away before noticing both Charlotte and the screams of her daughter. The two fought, as Charlotte struck Grady twice with a fire poker, the third time he dodged, but a recovered Blake tackled him, covered his mouth and delivered the killing blow by biting his throat out, avenging Derek's death in the process. Soon, a "Lovell" tattoo exposed the identity of the attacker, as both father and son stared at each other with wide eyes before Grady succumbed to his wound.

Trivia[]
- Grady Lovell is based off of Sir John Talbot from the 2010 remake of The Wolf Man.
- There are several clues that point to the werewolf's identity: 1) 30 years passed since the prologue, it might be hard for the already adult prologue creature to keep on if aging normally. 2) The creature has graying hair, like an old man. 3) The father and son dynamic is a nod to the 2020 remake. 4) The werewolf, unlike the prologue one, who stayed by the river and mountains, is suspiciously attached and well acquainted with Grady's house, even knowing the existance of the puppy door.
