He set up his criminal operation on Ryloth the home planet of the Twi'lek race the females of this species were very popular as slaves Graxol knew this and made a lot of money selling and smuggling them. During his time on the planet he fell in love with one of his slaves Shakka a Lethan Twi'lek and he took her were ever he went. Graxol has a long history with Jabba and Watto he would attend to events hosted by the Hutt and would place wager with Watto and his other friends.
Graxol Kelvyyn wasn't only a slaver, smuggler, and criminal he was also a skilled trader. He also had knowledge about criminal operations knowing how they worked and also had a lot of friends who run the operations. Kelvyyn often intended Podraces as he enjoyed the risk and rewards of the races. He had been friends with Watto, the Hutt's and criminals of Mos Espa for many years.
Graxol attended the Boonta Eve Classic in 32 BBY were he made a bet with Watto that Anakin Skywalker would win. Watto didn't believe that the human would win so he upped the bets with Graxol and his friends until the male Toydarian lost everything. At first Graxol placed a bet on Sebulba but seeing Skywalker's amazing skills made the male Anx change his mind. Years later a Lyra scientist named Tem Eliss wrote a book about some of the sentient species. Kelvyyn didn't like how she wrote about the Anx race in his book, calling them dishonorable, gamblers, slave traders and vices. Graxol continued his operations all the way up to the Clone Wars in 22 BBY and beyond.
