The Great Reaper is a minor antagonist and a boss in the first act of Kid Icarus: Uprising. It is an elder reaper that rules the Reaper Fortress and is the leader of all reapers.

In Kid Icarus: Uprising, Pit was asked by Lady Palutena if he remembered the reapers that he had faced in the other two games, to which he indeed remembered them mentioned his dislike of them because of how they summoned their Reapettes to help them. He wondered why Palutena was asking him about them, asking her what she was going on about, answering that there was a fortress nearby that was infested with them, though Pit didn't know she wanted him to infiltrate the fortress and defeat the leader. He protested, saying that if they were so dangerous, why would she send him to a place crawling with reapers, though she answered that the leader; the Great Reaper, was possibly blocking their access to Pandora's Labyrinth of Deceit, which they needed to go to, so they could defeat Medusa. Pit and the Great Reaper clashed, but despite its powers, it is defeated.

After Pit defeats the Great Reaper, the entrance to the Labyrinth will be accessable in the next chapter, allowing Pit to defeat Pandora once again.

Powers and Abilities

The Great Reaper's abilities are quite similar to that of a normal reaper's own, though its strength is slightly stronger than its fellow reapers'. It can alter its size to 2x the size of a normal reaper, being the elder of them. It's also quite powerful for being able to hinder Palutena's "all-seeing eye" from the sight of Pandora's Labyrinth, keeping it hidden from both her and Pit for a while.
