| ~ Greed before the fight. |
Greed is a supporting antagonist in the 2024 Roblox RPG game, Block Tales, serving as a major antagonist in the game's third chapter, All Hallows' Eve.
It is one of the four emotions the player has in the game. It alongside Solitude and Fear attempt to warn the player about Hatred using them to access their heart, and battle them to prevent it from happening. Greed is the first emotion out of the four to be fought.
Appearance[]
Greed is a dark gold humanoid with long retractable arms, stubby legs, and a hole in its face.
Personality[]
Nothing much is known about Greed, besides that they are a mischievous trickster that lures the player with their deepest desires, and a thrill-seeker indicated by its dialogue before the fight. Greed also seems to be an extremist alongside Solitude and Fear as they band together to warn the player about "Builderman" manipulating them by defeating the other emotions, and have to defeat them to prevent as such, even if their resort to murder seems overkill.
Biography[]
Having touched the Ghostwalker (despite its deadly consequences if a mortal with an impure soul touches it) and woken up in the Dream World, the player finds their emotion Hatred disguised as Builderman, who then tells them to traverse their mind and "purify their soul." The first section of the world is Avarice, where Greed resides, and after traveling through Thoughts and Personification, the player finds themselves in the Greedy Maze, where Greed uses its arms to prevent the player from reaching the end. This can be prevented if the player swings their sword at its arms during the right moment. In the end, the player and "Builderman" find a pile of TIX lying around, and the latter encourages the former to loot all the TIX for themselves. Greed suddenly appears and laughs at the player's gullibility before fighting them. After Greed is defeated, the player can exit Avarice and move onto the next world, Isolation.
Greed can later be refought in the Pit on the thirty-seventh floor alongside three Your Bombing Pals.
