The Green Death is a massive dragon that appears in the video game School of Dragons, based loosely off of the film franchise How to Train Your Dragon.

She would often go out back and fourth between elsewhere and her nest of Dragon Island that once belonged to the Red Death from the 2010 film How to Train Your Dragon, and would go elsewhere before returning to the nest and sitting there and even going to sleep in the nest, hoping no trespassers would bring her down like they did with her predecessor, the Red Death.

Biography[]

The Green Death first appears when an the player goes into the Green Death's nest and spots the Green Death sleeping. Hiccup decides that he, the player and the crew leave the nest before she would wake up. Eventually after escaping quietly, an NPC pushes two rocks into the lava of the nest, awakening the Green Death. Hiccup then states that he, the player and the crew have to get away from her or she would cook them alive with her breath attack. An archaeologist shouts "Look out" and then the Green Death peaks through one hole, sensing humans in her nest, thinking that no humans were at her sight, she moves away from the hole and the humans escape the nest.

Soon the Green Death comes out the top of her nest and flies off elsewhere, she returned to her nest for a couple of seconds but when the humans leave the island by boat, she shows up by landing on the water to confront the boat which had the humans that were trespassing on her island. After roaring for a challenge against the humans on the boat, the player gets on a dragon and shoots fireballs at the Green Death, getting her attention and telling her to get out of the way. She flies onto one of the rocks and the player then goes to Toothless and get Toothless to calm her down.

Toothless later flies up and commands the Green Death to calm down and soon she calms down and goes to sleep. but Harald Forkbeard launches a mast which strikes the Green Death, causing her to go on rampage and making her shoot fireballs at the humans for attacking her. The Green Death then flies up into the clouds and flaps her wings while floating there. The player then gets to the Green Death's neck, chops the mast on her neck and removes the thorn from her neck which hurts her. She then flies back to her nest and rests there for good.

In Flight of the Night Lights[]

In the "Flight of the Night Lights", the Green Death appears again, this time she shows up after the player goes out to the sea to confront several ships with dragon hunters. The Green Death later burns the ships after a group of baby dragons are rescued from one of them by a nightlight, thus scuttling the ships one by one.

Trivia[]

  • The Green Death is the only villain to be female dragon in the HTTYD franchise and in the video games as all of the villains in the original HTTYD trilogy were male, with the Red Death and Drago's Bewilderbeast being male and dragons, and Drago Bludvist along with Grimmel the Grisly being male and humans.
  • It remains undetermined of the Green Death is still alive in the game or if she at one point was deceased, it currently remains a mystery.
  • The Green Death looks visually similar to the Red Death from the 2010 film How to Train Your Dragon but the main differences being that the Green Death had a yellow iris on each of her six eyes, being completely green with a purple horn and having less spikes than the Red Death, whereas the Red Death had more spikes, had a blue iris on each of his six eyes, and was completely blue with some red spots on him.
