| ~ The Witch after showing the Smiling Friends her cursed vision. |
The Green Halloween Witch is the titular main antagonist of the Smiling Friends episode "Curse of the Green Halloween Witch." She's a self-described "poor, old, sexy woman" who demands the Smiling Friends for a dime on Halloween night, threatening to lay down a curse if they dare refuse her.
Through her red orb, a nightmarish vision is shown of what could happen in an alternative timeline where they don't cough up the dime; in reality, she just runs off crying when Mr. Boss puts her in a chokehold since her "powers" are probably a bluff.
She is voiced by the series' co-creator Zach Hadel, who also voices DJ Spit, Mip, Gnarly, and Mr. Landlord in the same series.
Appearance[]
| “ | Hello there. Can you spare a dime for a poor, old, sexy woman like me? | „ |
| ~ The Witch introducing herself. |
Like most witch depictions, she is a shrivelled old woman/critter with wrinkly green skin and many warts. She has bulging eyes with yellow irises, sharp yellow nails, and three stringy grey hairs sticking out from both sides of her face. She also wears a black robe, though she lacks a pointed hat.
Personality[]
The Witch is an opportunistic character who is willing to curse, guilt, or threaten people for a mere dime and pretend to be poor, even though her home is shown to be well-furnished. Although she tries to appear threatening, she is a weak character who is easily intimidated and brought to tears by Mr. Boss choking her.
Biography[]
Canon[]
She arrives at the Smiling Friends building and demands a dime from them, showing them a vision through a red orb of how she would curse them if they refuse. Mr. Boss puts the witch in a headlock and forces her to tap out, causing her to flee in defeat. In the end credits scene, she returns home in tears while her lover consoles her.
Orb Timeline[]
She arrives at the Smiling Friends building and politely asks for a dime from them. When Charlie refuses her, she "damns" them and begins flailing her arms and chanting a curse.
Though they initially write her off, Glep becomes possessed, Charlie's face and body melts, Allan transforms into a spider-human hybrid, the Boss encounters his deceased mother who berates him for neglecting her, and Pim is chased by several monsters (including Pyramid Head). He is reminded by demons about how his friends keep ignoring him, and eventually goes insane, embarking on a murderous rampage by slaughtering the Smiling Friends one by one while envisioning his surroundings turning surreal as the building falls apart and catches fire.
