~ Callahan attempting to lie to Britney about his relationship with Laura. |
Greg Callahan is the main antagonist of the Law and Order: Special Victims Unit episode "A Story of More Woe". He is a sexual predator who grooms and abuses his underage neighbor Laura and manipulates her older sister Britney into murdering their father.
He was portrayed by Alex Kramer.
Biography[]
Greg was neighbors with the Moore family and got along well with them. He also had a girlfriend named Susan who always doted on him.
Unknown to everyone, he was secretly a pedophile who targeted the Moore's youngest daughter Laura and soon manipulated her into a sexual relationship while promising her that he'd run away with her. To ensure he wouldn't get caught, Greg manipulated Laura into saying that her father Douglas raped her.
A Story of More Woe[]
Eventually, Laura confided in her older sister Britney that their father raped her, sending Britney into a rage and causing her to stab their father to death repeatedly. The Moore sisters were put in Greg's custody, as per Douglas' will. However, the will turned out to be a fake and the sisters were removed once the ploy was revealed but Greg tried to go around it to be with Laura.
SVU soon discovered Britney killed her father after she believed he was raping her sister. When questioning Laura, SVU got her to admit that she and him were in love, with him promising to dump Susan to be with her. After Britney was told, she was horrified that her father did nothing wrong and how Greg destroyed her family.
Greg later met Britney at a diner, unaware she is bugged, he talks to Britney and assures that he'll get custody after she says her sister hasn't been the same. However, he got uneasy when she asks Greg if that went for the baby as well. Britney then voiced her belief that her sister might be pregnant. SVU were watching this and noted Britney was winging it, with Tutuola offering to pull her out but Benson allowed this to go on to see if Greg would slip up and incriminate himself.
In the diner, Greg nervously questioned Britney on this, and Britney said she wanted to get a paternity test to confirm it wasn't her father's baby. However, Greg stopped her because he knew the child was likely his and said that he needed to find a way to deal with the situation, but Britney caught on that he might be the father. She questioned him on how he could do that with Laura, as he tried to justify his acts by claiming to be in love with her and how she was very mature for her age. Unfortunately, Britney did not accept his excuse and voiced her rage at how Greg manipulated Laura to get her and how he manipulated her into murdering her innocent father, before grabbing a fork and stabbing him in the cheek. With that, the detectives have heard and seen enough to move in. The bleeding Greg saw the detectives enter and begged them for help, but Tutuola showed him no sympathy and told him that he's lucky Britney didn't kill him before arresting him while Benson consoled the sobbing Britney.
A.D.A Peter Stone later revealed after Greg was given medical attention, he pled guilty to statutory rape, and conspiracy to commit murder and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
