| ~ Griselda underestimating the Pied Piper's power. |
Griselda is a supporting antagonist in DreamWorks' 20th full-length animated feature film Shrek Forever After, the fourth installment of the Shrek film series.
She is the right-hand witch of Rumpelstiltskin and the head of the Witch Guard that works for him.
She is voiced by Kathy Griffin.
Biography[]
Griselda is first seen leading a group of witches who notice and capture Shrek at his old swamp, bringing him to Rumpelstiltskin at his palace. As Shrek makes an escape with a broomstick, Griselda leads another group of witches to stop him but they fail as he gets out through a window.
Griselda is later at a meeting with Rumpelstiltskin and his inner circle of witches, in which Rumpelstiltskin decides to hire the Pied Piper to help prevent Shrek from kissing Fiona. She is next seen informing Rumpelstiltskin of the Pied Piper's arrival. She mocks his usefulness, so the piper plays a tune that causes her and two other witches to involuntarily dance, before Rumpelstiltskin orders her to retrieve his checkbook so that he could literally pay the piper.
Griselda and the rest of the witches fight the Ogre Resistance near the end of the film. Her fate is unknown, but it is likely she fled the palace or was captured.
Trivia[]
- She is credited in the film as Dancing Witch.
